The Disease Modeling department at Sanofi is seeking a highly talented and motivated Pharmacometrician to join our dynamic team and contribute to the advancement of Sanofi R&D portfolio. This group is part of the Quantitative Pharmacology within Translation Medicine Unit at Sanofi R&D. Join our Drug Disease Modeling (DDM) team as a Pharmacometrician, where you will support Sanofi’s R&D portfolio with innovative modeling strategies and drive the development and application of cutting-edge DDM methodologies.
Main responsibilities:
- Function as part of a team to develop and implement multiscale computational drug disease models in different therapeutic areas (oncology, neurology, immunology and inflammation)
- Implement innovative quantitative methods to integrate data of pharmacokinetics, biomarkers, and clinical outcome with data of patient characteristics and knowledge of disease mechanisms and disease states to facilitate quantitative decision making
- Prepare DDM modeling and simulation strategies to support research and development programs
- Conduct hands-on data analysis and simulation, interpretation of results and reporting in compliance with Good Clinical Practice (GCP) and guidance of regulatory authorities
- Collaborate cross-functionally with clinical pharmacology, biostatistics, translational medicine, and therapeutic area teams.
- Communicate modeling and simulation results to both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Maintain drug disease modeling expertise through comprehensive education including attendance and participation in conferences, scientific workshops etc.
About you
- Experience: 3+ years of experience on modeling and simulation in the pharmaceutical industry, CRO health-related consulting company, academic experience (experience within pharmaceutical industry is highly desired)
- Soft and technical skills
- broad-based knowledge of quantitative clinical pharmacology related areas such as PK/PD, statistics and systems pharmacology required
- proficiency in programming languages (e.g. R, Matlab, Python) and solid hand-on experiences within a variety of computational modeling tools such as Monolix, Nonmem and Julia
- strong oral and written communication skills as well as desire to work within an interdisciplinary team environment
- experience in joint modeling/machine learning/deep learning is a plus
- Education : PhD in pharmacometrics, biostatistics, applied mathematics or related field
- Languages: Fluent spoken and written English is required and working knowledge of French is a plus
