About the Job

As CSU Medical Advisor within our CSU Europe Team, you’ll be the  Clinical Study Unit (CSU) Scientific reference point for the Investigators for the review of Sanofi Portfolio. Ready to get started?

The CSU Medical Advisor is the point of reference for the upcoming studies, the optimization of the study protocol and the feasibility assessment, establishing a long term collaboration with PI/KOL for the development of the Sanofi Clinical Programs. According to the new compounds emerging, the CSU Medical Advisor evaluates areas for potential clinical development nationally, with a view to optimizing and increasing involvement of Italy in international clinical studies.

The CSU MA is the Scientific reference person for the CSU operational team, delivering the Scientific training and advice, and for the scientific supervision of clinical studies in liaison with the Global Clinical Study Directors.

Main responsibilities

• Proactively identify the potential investigators for the upcoming studies and programs in the Cluster, through a deep evaluation of the portfolio and the available information (including data driven evaluation of patients’ availability)

• Pro-active review at program and study level with sites to provide sites with ample time to prepare for a new study, including activities that promote early identification of potential study participants and reduce local competition for study subjects. Portfolio planning is also expected to increase the engagement around Sanofi programs and investigational/ post market access products.

• Influencing Protocol design, recruitment strategies, decreasing site and patient burden by interacting with Local Experts and Patient Associations, by giving thorough feedback to the Global team.

• Evaluates during feasibility/go early potential implementation of protocol in his/her Country or Cluster, by interacting both with investigators chosen among expert and reliable trialists and with respective Medical Affairs and One Launch team.

• Guarantees continuous interaction with local Medical Affairs for a productive relationship with Investigators/KOLs and support the One Launch ambition.

• Create, in collaboration with TLs and Medical Affairs, a mapping of key sites per any new indication as soon as the Study ID card is released and define a long term Site Engagement with Global (EOR or Advisory Board involvement) and with local team.

About You

• Experience: previous clinical research experience at investigational sites, or in pharmaceutical company; working knowledge of GCP, clinical trial design and development;
• Soft and technical skills: medical leadership in the therapeutic areas of Sanofi’s involvement with high communicational and teaching skills; strong customer orientation, networking and ability to build and consolidate effective relationship; familiarity with AI tools (e.g., generative AI, automation platforms, machine learning frameworks); digital Savvy: comfortable navigating digital ecosystems and promoting digital literacy within teams; ogod interpersonal and listening skills, enterprising spirit focused on involvement of CSU in new Corporate projects. Team working ability to guarantee scientific activity and production of documents and reports which are focused on ethics, quality and are compliant with applicable legislation and guidelines; result driven orientation to proactively ensure and exceed enrollment objectives; management and organizational skills (planning, priority setting, flexibility).
• Education: Degree in Medicine with specialization or equivalent expertise in one of the following fields: Internal Medicine, Immuno-Inflammation.
