We're seeking a strategic Customer Engagement Manager focused on Trade to lead and implement innovative trade marketing strategies that optimize the patient journey in pharmacies, enhancing visibility and commercial performance of the Established Products (RX portfolio). This role is responsible for strengthening relationships with retail pharmacy partners and creating differentiated experiences that positively impact purchasing decisions and customer loyalty.

This unique role offers the opportunity to:

  • Drive Trade portfolio strategy on Retail channel.
  • Work with innovation in HCP engagement and patient journey optimization.
  • Deliver sustainable P&L in a competitive and evolving market landscape.

Main responsibilities

Strategic Planning & Execution

  • Develop and execute point-of-sale activation programs that elevate the patient experience and drive product visibility and adherence.
  • Create and implement innovative trade marketing strategies to optimize commercial performance of the Established Products portfolio.
  • Analyze market data and consumer behavior to identify growth opportunities and develop channel-specific tactics.
  • Develop and deploy Minimum Viable Products (MVPs) for trade initiatives, allowing for fast implementation, measurement, and optimization.
  • Participate and execute according to the new Go to Market Squad definition.
  • Manage and maintain respective systems.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align marketing, Trade & Revenue Management (TRM), and Finance strategies, ensuring an integrated approach.
  • Partner with key account managers to develop joint business planning and customer development initiatives.
  • Coordinate with point-of-sale and medical detailing teams to implement effective sell-out activities and activation plans.

Communication & Education

  • Develop communication materials and tools that educate pharmacists.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with retail pharmacy partners.
  • Coordinate and lead Joint business Plans with customers.

Performance Management

  • Track and analyze KPIs of initiatives, implementing strategic adjustments to maximize results with customers.
  • Ensure discount optimization while enhancing performance.
  • Measure effectiveness of point-of-sale activities and optimize based on data insights.
  • Maintain knowledge of and comply with the principles of Ethics and Integrity, Sanofi policies and codes of conduct that regulate the pharmaceutical market.
  • Comply with and promote Sanofi Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) policies, with the aim of preventing accidents, avoiding health risks, promoting employee well-being and reducing environmental impacts resulting from the execution of work activities.
  • Support Sanofi Diversity & Inclusion strategy and initiatives to ensure all employees and partners are treated with respect and receive equal opportunities.
  • Promote the culture of Ethics and Business Integrity in your team by serving as a role model by ensuring appropriate knowledge and adherence to the principles of ethics and integrity, Sanofi policies and codes of conduct that regulate the pharmaceutical market.

About you

EXPERIENCE

To succeed in this position, candidates must demonstrate:

  • Proven Commercial or Trade Marketing background with experience in pharmaceutical or healthcare industry.
  • Strong analytical skills with advanced proficiency in Excel, Power BI and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and execute successful point-of-sale marketing strategies.
  • Experience in analyzing market data and consumer behavior to drive business decisions.
  • Excellent project management and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Negotiation expertise for partnership development and commercial agreements.

Communication & Influence

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Advertising, Engineering, or Pharmacy.
  • MBA required, demonstrating advanced business acumen and strategic thinking capabilities.

LANGUAGES

  • Bilingual proficiency in Portuguese and English (mandatory).
