Position Title: Market Access (Sr.) Lead

Location: South Korea
JOB PURPOSE/PRIORITIES:
o To obtain price and reimbursement for new products including management of PE study
o To obtain reimbursement for LCM projects
o To manage and negotiate the price, volume and other RSA conditions
o To develop market access plan and provide input on new pipeline
ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT:
o Direct reporting to Head of Market Access
o Supervising the team and direct report(s)
o Working closely with country Marketing, Communication & Patients Advocacy, Sales, Finance, Medical and Regulatory Affairs team and regional/global functional partners
o Two direct reports (Market Access Specialist)
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:
o Develop and execute Market Access strategies and plan for existing products in alignment with business priorities. This includes the optimization of reimbursement guidelines and management of price challenges of key products.
o Develop and execute Market Access plan for new products including pricing and reimbursement scenarios and PE strategy, and work with local/regional/global stakeholders to gain the endorsement.
o Collaborate with Business Units, Medical, Public Affairs, Communications and Patient Advocacy and Regulatory Affairs to execute the market access strategy and engage stakeholders such as HIRA, MOHW, payers, KTLs, medical society, media and patient group.
o Develop and execute negotiation strategy with price rationales to achieve the best scenario of price-volume and/or risk sharing agreement in negotiation with payers.
o Provides strong leadership and guidance to the team and cross-functional stakeholders in the area of patient access, healthcare policy, and HEOR.
o Develop market access team’s capabilities and support to be fully motivated and empowered to build P&R strategy and execute engagement plan.
o Work with Business Units to monitor volume, ATP and competitor’s environment and forecast price changes on regular basis. Update global pricing group and local business partners with price and reimbursement changes.
o Deep understanding of country pharmaceutical and economic environment, and HTA process
o Identify and establish relationships with key decision makers for market access. The responsibility expands into engagement of high-level government officials
o Involvement in political landscape and appropriate participation in policy initiatives to shape healthcare environment and pricing policies to enable better patient access for new Sanofi products and lead key external stakeholder engagement
o Liaise with and support public affairs, communications team and/or affiliate environment shaping efforts and integrated activities on issues that impact on market access
JOB-HOLDER ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
Language skills:
o Fluent in Korean & English (written and spoken)
Education:
o Bachelor’s Degree (or above) of Pharmacy(preferred), Public Health, Statistics or Science
o Master’s degree in Public Health or Health Economics (preferred)
Experience & knowledge:
o Minimum 10 years of experience within the pharmaceutical industry with an in-depth understanding of market access area (healthcare system, pricing policy, HEOR)
o MA experiences in various therapeutic areas (preferred)
o Experience and knowledge of pricing policies and procedure or HEOR (preferred)
o Bachelor’s degree or above majored in pharmacy or health policy (preferred)
o Strategic mindset with problems solving, and analytical ability.
o Pro-active attitude and the ability to work independently
o Experience in communicating, influencing, and negotiating with healthcare policy decision-makers
o Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
o Skills in strategic thinking, scenario planning, competitive assessment, problem-solving and creative thinking
o Good communication & negotiation skill
o Collaborative work with internal & external stakeholders
o Good understanding of Korea pricing & reimbursement environment, decision making process and relevant stakeholders
