JOB PURPOSE:
The Central Medical Lead assumes overall responsibility for leading the Medical Manager (MM) team in the Dupilumab Dermatology & Respiratory therapeutic area. This role is tasked with building a robust medical foundation and driving excellence across the full product lifecycle, establishing scientific credibility with external stakeholders, and partnering with Marketing and Business Units to achieve business objectives. By aligning internal and external resources to maximize medical value, the role advances Sanofi’s healthcare mission and vision.
KEY RESPONSIBILITY
Ø Lead end-to-end lifecycle management, deliver measurable results, and retain a high-performing team within the Dermatology & Respiratory therapeutic area.
Ø Oversee the MM team in developing and executing medical strategy and plans, providing comprehensive medical support for Dupilumab in alignment with organizational priorities and requirements.
Ø Establish academic platforms and collaborative channels with leading Chinese academic societies in the defined therapeutic area, to deliver Sanofi’s product messaging to key opinion leaders (KOLs) and stakeholders, and maintain and strengthen the Group’s scientific standing. Build strategic partnerships to shape policy through evidence-based medical expertise.
Ø Drive cross-functional collaboration across medical excellence, pharmacovigilance, regulatory affairs, clinical operations, R&D, marketing, sales, government affairs, medical information services, epidemiology/health economics/outcomes research, medical education, and medical publication functions, to ensure optimal execution of the medical plan.
Ø Provide scientific input and guidance for post-marketing clinical programs (including Phase IV trials and registries) for Dupilumab. Ensure all data is scientifically valid, aligned with strategic objectives, and effectively communicated to relevant stakeholders (via reports, publications, presentations at congresses, or company-sponsored events). Offer scientific support for the management of investigator-sponsored studies, in strict adherence to the Group’s policies and guidelines.
Ø Collaborate closely with Regulatory Affairs and R&D teams to deliver scientific input on unmet medical need assessments and product value propositions, ensuring an optimized local registration strategy for new products and/or new indications.
Ø Deliver medical and scientific support to marketing and sales activities, including: providing medical point-of-view input into marketing strategy, supporting round tables, symposia, and medical education initiatives, liaising with key opinion leaders, developing scientific communications, delivering sales training, reviewing and validating promotional materials for scientific integrity and compliance with Group procedures
Ø Ensure robust scientific and medical compliance, governance, and risk management, centered on an optimized patient-focused risk/benefit framework, for all assigned products and tasks.
JOB-HOLDER ENTRY REQUIREMENTS:
Education:
Medical , master degree or above
Experience & knowledge:
Ø 10+ years’ experience in industry and 3+ years in team management positions
Ø 5+ years’ clinical experience (dermatology or respiratory or immunology) is preferred
Ø Solid skill in team managing, coaching & collaborating is preferred
