Continuous Improvement Specialist- VIE Contract

iMove, the Sanofi VIE Program, is available to citizens of the European Economic Area (EU + Norway, Liechtenstein and Iceland) aged between 18 and 28.

About the job

As Continuous Improvement Specialist VIE within our Manufacturing and Supply team, you’ll support Continuous Improvement projects and work as business partner with their area to reach the targeted level of performance and achieve the strategy.

The role is to drive Industrial excellence to achieve the Process Centric Unit’s (PCU’s) Strategy and Ambition. You will bring a high level of expertise and leadership in lean methodology, industrial performance, digital solutions, transformation, and change management.

Main responsibilities:

Sanofi Manufacturing System (SMS 2.0) Support

  • Assist in the deployment and day-to-day sustainment of SMS 2.0 standards across assigned manufacturing or support areas.
  • Help ensure alignment with global SMS standards by maintaining documentation, tracking maturity gaps, and supporting improvement actions.
  • Participate in performance and transformation initiatives (e.g., SMS 2.0 boosters, Smart Factory tool integration) by preparing materials, collecting data, and coordinating follow-up actions.

Process Confirmation & Routine Excellence Activities

  • Support routine process confirmation activities by gathering data, completing checklists, and helping teams follow standard work practices; help maintain SMS tools (e.g., +QDCI boards, DCM routines, VSB, iObeya) and ensure proper utilization at the shop-floor level.

Training & Upskilling

  • Assist in coordinating training sessions for SMS standards and Lean tools.

Continuous Improvement & Data Support

  • Support identification of improvement opportunities by collecting and analyzing data.
  • Participate in CI projects by documenting workflows, supporting root-cause analysis (e.g., GPS3), and following through on small-scope action items; track KPIs and help maintain performance dashboards, ensuring visibility of progress and issues.

Digital & Transformation Support

  • Assist in the adoption of digital tools that improve operations, including data entry, user support, and documenting standard ways of working.

Cross-Site Collaboration

  • Contribute to the sharing of best practices by preparing summaries, tracking local initiatives, and participating in internal communities of practice.

About you

Experience:

  • Experience in Project management, process improvement and/or data analysis.
  • Previous experience in manufacturing, operations, or exposure to Lean/SMS principles is highly preferred.

Soft and technical skills:

  • Collaborative team player with strong communication skills and high level of autonomy, curious, open-minded, eager to learn, with a hands-on attitude toward problem solving.
  • Detail-oriented, able to learn quickly, ask questions, and adopt a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Good organization and time‑management skills to support multiple small initiatives.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word), familiarity with Power BI.
  • Basic understanding of Lean/problem-solving methodologies (5 Whys, Fishbone, A3, etc.).
  • Strong analytical, diagnostics and data-handling skills with the ability to create simple insights from operational data.
  • Knowledge of Operational manufacturing process in Pharma, Biotech or Automotive or any relevant industry would be preferred.

Education:

  • Master’s Degree in Life Sciences, Engineering or similar discipline.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification (Yellow/Green) Belt would be an advantage.

Languages:

  • Fluency in English.
