About the Job

The LEDP Lead DevOps organizes and supervises all steps for a new release launch of the LEDP platform. This includes both our Azure on premise infrastructure as well as our DS Saas Platform.

He manages a team including testing, quality documentation and devops engineers, and ensures adherence to deadlines while avoiding errors during deployments.

Thi role is strategic in our agile and DevOps environment. he/She ensures the stability of the 3Dexperience based information system while supporting innovation though the development and deployment of new digital products leveraging the LEDP foundation.

He/She ensures that every new software version is well tested, validated following GxP standards, properly documented and deployed without negative impact on users.

He/She also acts as an interface between technical teams and business teams.

Responsibilities

His/her tasks cover the entire LEDP platform release life cycle, from planning to production deployment:

• Develop the release schedule based on functional and technical specifications, as well as DS release schedule for OOTB.

• Leads test automation, from test case and dataset definition to test execution and reporting. Lead the validation committees, including product owners, developers, QA, and business System Owners.

• Manage environments.

• Coordinate business acceptance tests with the AMOA/MOA teams.

• Manage deployments using CI/CD automation tools.

• Manage environment set-up, environment upgrade and data migration scripting

• Oversee rollback phases in case of failure.

• Monitor production incidents post-deployment.

• Document releases and write reports for stakeholders.

The Release Manager also plays a consulting role for the agile teams to continuously improve the software delivery process.

About You

Education/Certifications:

• Minimum B.Sc in Computer Science, Engineering or related discipline

• Advanced degree (eg. M.Sc) preferred

Key competencies:

Technical and professional skills include:

• Deep knowledge of 3DExperience: 3+ years of experience with release management of 3DExperience platform (on premise or Saas), including installation, upgrade and data migration.

• Background in quality assurance testing from previous experience in automated testing, ideally on the 3DExperience platform and/or in lifescience industry

• Understanding the technical constraints associated with multi-application environments and mastering tools specific to software delivery management.

• Good knowledge of Linux and Windows operating systems

• Understanding and experience of distributed architectures and cloud environments (AWS, Azure)

• Mastery of continuous integration tools

• Scripting skills (Ansible)

• Experience in Test Automation, preferably with Tosca, and on 3DExperience.

• Knowledge of versioning tools (Git, SVN)

• Familiarity with ITIL systems and Change Management processes

• Strong DevOps culture and tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, Ansible

• Experience with Agile, and associated Jira/Confluence tools.

• Soft skills:

• Organization and rigor to manage complex schedules. 

• Strong analytical skills and capacity to assess deployment risks

• Efficient communication and synthesis skills to interact with all teams

• Leadership and management skills

• Capability to work in a global international context
