This leadership position drives strategic supply chain operations for external manufacturing network, providing comprehensive oversight of Contract Manufacturing Organizations and business partners while ensuring optimal supply chain performance. The Lead develops and implements supply chain strategies, manages complex stakeholder relationships, and drives continuous improvement initiatives to deliver products meeting Quality and Regulatory standards while optimizing costs, timelines, and service levels.

The Global M&S Services acts as a cornerstone to this effort. Our team is responsible for delivering and supporting Global M&S teams by acting as a crucial link between our R&D and Manufacturing facilities, playing a vital role in securing the present portfolio and delivering future launches of high-quality and innovative drugs and vaccines.

Main responsibilities:

• Strategic Demand & Supply Management: Lead forecast analysis and production planning strategies, oversee order management from launch to delivery optimizing efficiency and costs, lead complex packaging item change initiatives across CMO and markets, optimize supply chain inventory strategies and record management.

• Strategic Relationship & Crisis Management: Lead relationship management with CMO driving feasibility improvements and stock optimization strategies, establish crisis management protocols and communication frameworks for restrictive environments, oversee supply chain performance including yield optimization and obsolescence reduction, drive reporting excellence and crisis resolution strategies, lead cross-functional collaboration with Quality and Regulatory departments ensuring impact assessment and mitigation.

• Advanced Toll & Sourcing Management: Lead API forecast analysis and strategic planning, oversee complex order management and delivery optimization to CMOs, establish API level strategies at CMO sites ensuring production continuity and optimal stock policies, lead reconciliation processes and stock adjustment protocols between Sanofi and CMO inventories, drive double sourcing strategies and alternative source development initiatives.

• Performance Leadership & Innovation: Lead monitoring and optimization of group supply indicators (out-of-stock rate, supply alerts, customer service level, inventory level, stock policy), drive cross-functional improvement initiatives and strategic business projects, lead serialization and track & trace implementation strategies, coordinate complex divestment and pruning initiatives.

• Strategic Budget & Business Development: Lead budget development and volume trend analysis, drive portfolio cost optimization strategies, implement cost-effective supply chain process innovations, ensure compliance with evolving legal requirements and standards, lead cross-departmental collaboration for strategic business growth planning, mentor team members and drive supply chain excellence culture.

About you

• Experience: 8-10 years recognized experience in supply chain, planning, and demand management with proven leadership track record, and extensive pharmaceutical industry experience preferred

• Soft skills: Strong leadership and team development capabilities, (direct management) high autonomy and strategic thinking, excellent reactivity and anticipation skills, advanced teamwork and networking abilities, strong negotiation and influencing skills, entrepreneurial initiative, results and performance-driven mindset

• Technical skills: Expert knowledge of SAP and supply chain systems (Kinaxis), deep pharmaceutical industry expertise, advanced project management in complex environments, supply chain strategy and optimization, digital transformation capabilities

• Education: Master’s degree in supply chain, Engineering, Business, or related field, additional leadership or business qualifications preferred

• Languages: Fluent professional English (written and spoken)
