We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented summer intern to join our U.S. Corporate Affairs, U.S. Reimbursement and Public Policy and Federal Government Relations Teams. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain firsthand experience at the intersection of public policy and government relations, and the policy issues facing a major, global biopharmaceutical company. The intern will support cross-functional policy initiatives including monitoring and analyzing legislative developments.

Main Responsibilities:

• Track and analyze federal legislation, hearings, and policy trends impacting the biopharmaceutical industry.

• Assist with the development of policy briefing materials, summaries, presentations, and internal memos.

• Attend, as appropriate, Congressional hearings, meetings, and policy briefings; prepare summaries for internal stakeholders.

• Conduct research on a wide range of topics including drug pricing, AI in drug development and manufacturing, and Medicare/Medicaid policy.
  

About You

Basic Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled and pursuing an undergraduate or graduate program at an accredited university focused on law, public policy, public health, political science, health economics, or a related field

• Must be enrolled in school the semester following your internship/co-op with Sanofi

• Must be able to relocate to the office location and work 40hrs/week, Monday-Friday, for the full duration of the co-op/internship

• Must be permanently authorized to work in the U.S. and not require sponsorship of an employment visa (e.g., H-1B or green card) at the time of application or in the future. Students currently on CPT, OPT, or STEM OPT usually require future sponsorship for long term employment and do not meet the requirements for this program unless eligible for an alternative long-term status that does not require company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications:

• Demonstrated interest in health law or policy, life sciences, or the biopharmaceutical industry.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear, concise inputs.
