Job Purpose:
The Utilities Engineering team within our Pharmaceutical Manufacturing Operations is a critical function responsible for ensuring the uninterrupted and compliant supply of essential utilities to support the production of high-quality medicines. Our team of skilled engineers and technicians manages the lifecycle of our critical water systems (including pre-treatment, RO, and WFI), clean steam, process air/gases, cleanroom HVAC/HEPA, and CIP systems, adhering to stringent regulatory standards and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
Main responsibilities:
Clean Utilities & Sustainability Responsibilities:
- Prepare w the annual preventive maintenance plan for all utilities equipment (HVAC, Water stations, Boilers, Chillers, Compressors …. Etc.) in the site.
- Manage Sustainability Program Development & Implementation, Utility Data Management & Performance Reporting, Budget Management & Cost Optimization, Environmental Compliance & Improvement, and Management System Integration & Certification
- Supervise execution of monthly preventive maintenance actions.
- Supervise execution of the corrective actions to minimize utilities equipment’s stoppages.
- Support project team for any new project or activities.
- Improve and upgrade all the equipment and infrastructure in the site according to identified LRP.
- Training of technicians on the assigned area’s equipment.
- Ensure recording of maintenance technicians in logbooks for all machines in utilities area.
- Prepare a list for the required spare parts for all the assigned equipment in utilities area every year and execute the plan according to the approved budget.
- Participating in the SMS which affect the manufacturing process efficiency and minimize waste and cost.
- Supervise the installation of any new equipment and participate in the SAT including Installation Qualification (IQ), Operations Qualification (OQ) & Performance Qualification (PQ).
- Closing the audits’ pending points with QA for concerned electrical issues.
- Follow the lockout/Tagout procedures during maintenance and repair.
HSE Responsibilities:
- Follow the approved HSE policy and requirements.
- Following and approving the work permit prior to contractor’s work start & prior to the start of any routine work process with significant risk.
- Follow the lockout/Tagout procedures during maintenance and repair.
- Commitment to the appropriate PPE use
- Following the statutory legislation concerning Health, Safety, and environmental law.
- Implementing controls for waste, resources management and pollution control to minimize the impact on the local environment.
Others:
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Respect of company’s values, code of ethics and social charter.
- Respect of personal data protection charter.
About you
Education: Bachelor of Electrical / Mechanical Engineering
Experience: 6+ years in Engineering and Maintenance experience
Technical Skills:
Professional in Pneumatic, Electrical Control & HVAC, Water station design and AutoCAD Program
Soft Skills:
- Good communication & Presentation skills.
- Highly motivated with ability to work independently
- Extremely proactive – capable of identifying and filling gaps
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Very strong coordination and planning skills – proven track record essential
- Planning & organizing skills.

- Ability to co-ordinate several inter-departmental activities
