The team is part of a network connecting the dots between demand, supply and logistics by close cooperation with Sites, local SC and global SC functions and focuses on Supply to meet patient and business needs.

The Supply Planner Site  is responsible for managing the rough-cut capacity planning and Master Production Schedule (MPS) for the Site MBC focusing on the 3-36 months horizon. This role involves close coordination with various site functions like the Scheduler and Flow controller, conducts capability reviews, mitigates supply risks, supports budget cycles, and ensures smooth transitions between firm and fluid planning horizons. The Supply Planner Site also plays a key role in continuous improvement initiatives and supports special projects, ensures alignment between demand and capacity and the timely handover of plans to schedulers.

Drive decisions on changes to the capacity within the capability review process or escalate to SSR if required. Prepare relevant scenarios (e.g. capacity increase required) to show the different options to be presented to SLT.

  • Facilitate net demand review: Ensure availability of validated net demand for their production step (across products, individual input provided by SCPP / SCPL) and understand relevant changes on the net demand.

  • Prepare & maintain timely and feasible production plan in the IBP horizon with handover to the site scheduler in the S&OE horizon.

  • Encode hypothesis and potential supply scenarios within the ERP-system/ planning system (Kinaxis): capacity utilization, shift openings and calendars, OEE, recipe, BOM…

  • Analyze resulting plan (and identify bottlenecks at each stage) generated by tool & assess feasibility (with site teams – materials & capacity availability perspective) and escalate to the supply planner network where relevant.

  • Provide IBP horizon topics (collection and PowerPoint presentation) to Site SC Head to be presented to the monthly site supply review (key decision-making instance at site level) for endorsement by site leadership team: valorize elaborated scenario based on input from site and global finance (e.g., BOI, added value, etc.) and other site functions on feasibility (e.g., Ops., Scheduler, Mat. Planner, quality, etc.). Support in general on the preparation of Site Supply Review meeting (heatmaps, inventory, performance)

  • Coordinate with other site roles to ensure smooth transition into S&OE horizon: conduct handover meeting for week/month at edge between firm & fluid horizon with site scheduler and provide input on capacity utilization in IBP horizon; alert Material Planner if any gaps / challenge concerning material availability at the interface of firm & frozen horizon.

  • Provide input to meetings of monthly cycle (performance review, Inventory review, etc.)

  • Keep control of shelf life/flavor management in inventory management when applicable for planned materials in scope also in the frame of supply scenario planning and ensure transparency in the monthly accrual process.

  • Support CI loop / performance check (e.g., MPS adherence, inventory projection, etc.): monitor site performance (inventory policies adherence, product cycle time, etc.); frequently monitor inventory, conduct variation analysis, identify inventory at risk (shelf-life, slow-movers); participate and support VSM activity by providing accurate set of data.

Further responsibilities
