Our Team

Sanofi in Geel is seeking an experienced professional as Head of Contamination Control. In this quality leadership position, you will be responsible for developing and implementing comprehensive contamination control programs aligned with our organizational strategy and quality objectives.

Main responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement effective strategies and procedures for contamination control
  • Ensure compliance of products and processes with applicable regulatory requirements and  company quality standards
  • Identify, track, and mitigate contamination and microbiological risks
  • Oversee production activities related to aseptic practices and contamination control
  • Monitor performance metrics and establish key performance indicators for contamination control activities
  • Lead and manage the contamination control team
  • Collaborate with Digital and Quality functions to implement innovative solutions
  • Represent the company in interactions with external regulatory bodies

About you

  • Advanced degree in Microbiology, Pharmaceutical Sciences, or related field
  • Extensive experience in microbiology in pharmaceutical manufacturing
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements related to microbial control in manufacturing
  • Proven leadership and team management experience
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities

The role carries significant decision-making authority, including defining appropriate methods and technologies for contamination control, leading critical microbiological events, and developing training programs for contamination control competencies.
