The Specialist in Medical Insights will provide deliverables that support planning and decision-making across multiple functional areas, such as medical affairs, medical communications, research and development, commercial and brand teams. This role ensures high-quality deliverables, drives synergies across franchises, fosters innovation, and creates scalable, shareable solutions.
Key Responsibilities
People
Maintain effective relationships with end stakeholders within the allocated Global Business Unit (GBU) to meet ongoing business needs across the product lifecycle.
Deliver projects within defined timelines and collaborate with global stakeholders for project planning and initiatives.
Actively lead and develop SBO operations associates and ensure new technologies are leveraged.
Collaborate with global stakeholders for project planning and setting up the timelines and maintaining budget.

Performance
Translate real-world data understanding into actionable medical insights that support key medical strategy, tactics, and brand objectives by developing effective hypotheses and analytical approaches for medical intelligence projects spanning medical affairs, commercial, market research and competitive intelligence.
Partner with therapy area/brand/medical teams across Sanofi based globally, for high quality execution and on time delivery of the projects and initiatives related to medical insights. This includes analysis and identification of medical data from multiple sources, development, refinement, and comprehensive quality control for standard deliverables (real-time alerts, competitor benchmarking, Insights & SML Report, conference activities, Listening Priorities, PV reporting, Expert encounters, etc), to generate directional cues that support decision-making, while ensuring alignment with medical and brand strategy, and communication; slide preparation for various internal meetings, and strategic and tactical ad hoc support.
Support planning for key conferences with guidance/input from the Sanofi teams. Support cross-functional team preparedness and proactive planning.
Support projects related to KOL, DOL mapping, identify key signals and strategies for greater engagement with KOLs.
Support competitive simulation workshops, including development of briefing books, gap analysis, SWOT, scenario planning.
Leverage a wealth of in-house secondary resources to develop a comprehensive, synthesized narrative for key competitive topics and questions on an ad hoc basis.
Development and refinement of key in-house resources including, clinical data comparisons, internal portals, launch timings.
Participate in global, regional, and local meetings as relevant to better understand the business context and appropriately translate into deliverables.
Analyze primary market research/survey data to address key business objectives and develop impactful presentations to report insights and recommendations.
Synthesize insights from multiple reports to support business decisions and provide evidence-based recommendations.
Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders and present key insights and recommendations.
Provide evidence-based recommendations to support decision-making.
Proactively troubleshoot and offer solutions/options before escalating and reaching out for help
Support logistics of scheduling meetings with a large number of people and PO processing, as needed.

This role is essential for driving robust analytics and insights generation across different franchises, supporting Sanofi's mission to tackle some of the world's greatest health threats through informed decision-making and strategic planning.
About you
Experience:
5+ years of experience in pharmaceutical product, Medical Insights and analytics or Medical Communications; Competitive Intelligence or Market Research.
Proficient in understanding and interpretation of scientific data, medical affairs and strategy, pharmaceutical landscape, support product launches, real-world evidence, medical evidence generation.
Experience in the pharmaceutical industry is preferred.
Experience in Diabetes/ Cardiometabolic disorders/ Immunology/ Oncology/Vaccines Therapy Area is preferred.
In-depth and up to date knowledge of Medical Insights methodologies and Social Medica Listening.
Experience in working with Social Media Listening platforms like Brandwatch, Kwello, Sprinkler, Netbase and others; analysis of LinkedIn to identify key signals related to brand and provide strategies for effective KOL engagement.
Soft Skills:
Strong learning agility and ability to manage ambiguous environments.
Strong writing skills and attention to detail with ability to communicate medical message effectively.
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with strong presentation skills.
Team player who is curious, dynamic, result-oriented, and collaborative.

Ability to operate effectively in an international matrix environment and work across time zones.
Technical Skills:
Strong qualitative and quantitative analysis of medical or commercial insights, and data analytics capabilities.
Experience in generating insights from real-world data and evidence generation with respect to pharmaceutical products.
Social-Media Listening and gathering insights from different social media platforms and tools
Familiarity with common databases like OneCRM, Veeva Link.
Experience using AI‑driven platforms to structure and interpret qualitative medical insights is highly desirable. Advanced MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) a must.
Knowledge of advanced excel and analytical tools like Power BI, and Python, SQL is a plus
Slide creation skills to develop creative and impactful presentations.
Experience in developing and managing dashboards is a plus.
Project management abilities to prioritize and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
Aptitude for problem-solving and strategic thinking.
Ability to synthesize complex information into clear and actionable insights.
Proven ability to work effectively across all levels of stakeholders and diverse functions.
Solid understanding of pharmaceutical development, manufacturing, supply chain, and marketing functions.
Education:
Advanced degree in Pharma, Management, Statistics, Decision Sciences, Engineering, Life Sciences, Business Analytics, or related fields (PhD, MBA, or Master's preferred).
Languages:
Excellent knowledge of English with strong written and spoken communication skills.
