We are seeking an experienced, visionary, and hands-on leader to drive our end-to-end M&S Data and Processes Strategy (DPS).
The Global DPS Head would be responsible for overseeing Data Management, Data Governance, and Data Quality by Design. This role is pivotal in driving data-enabled business transformation and realizing our ‘AI at Scale’ ambition. The ideal candidate will combine strategic leadership with deep technical expertise in modern data architecture, artificial intelligence, and data governance. They will also have a profound understanding of data management principles and the ability to drive data quality and data integrity initiatives.
The Global DPS Head is also responsible for overseeing the end-to-end process capabilities and process modernization, standardization and simplification. This role involves close collaboration with the Digital M&S and Smart & Digital Factory teams to identify and leverage the latest technology, with focus on AI-Gen/AI to enable transactional tasks automation, and ensure data integrity within the respective E2E processes. The Global DPS Head will monitor compliance with relevant regulations and policies, establish periodic self-auditing frameworks, and define appropriate internal control and risk frameworks to mitigate business risks.
This role requires a visionary leader who can also be a hands-on practitioner, guiding technical decisions and mentoring team members.
Main Responsibilities
Scope:
End-to-end M&S Data: all core systems (e.g.: SAP, MES, LIMS, QMS, Kinaxis), new use-cases (e.g. Lighthouses), automation assets (e.g. Engineering Equipment), Data Analytics (e.g. PBI, Factory 4.0, DEC)
Sanofi Operating Model ‘Plan to Manufacture’ Business Processes as well as supporting M&S Manufacturing and Production Systems and Processes
Data Strategy:
Data Strategy: Develop and execute, in partnership with Digital M&S, an M&S Data Strategy (Master Data, Reference Data, Transactional Data) aligned with business objectives, enabling ‘AI-Ready’ Data posture.
Data Governance: Implement the strategic vision for M&S Data Governance, securing Data Quality for Master, Reference and Transactional Data, across end-to-end Sanofi M&S Core Models and Digital Solutions, by design and at the point of entry.
Maintain robust Data Governance frameworks, including data quality, privacy, and security standards. Drive initiatives to improve data quality, consistency, and accuracy, including automated controls and AI-enabled data structuration.
Partnering with Digital M&S Data Foundation, Digital Programs Leads, Business Process Owners, and Business System Owners across M&S, lead the design and implementation of enterprise data architecture, flows, and consumption, ensuring scalability, security, integrity and compliance, and enabling AI-Ready Data Posture.
Data Standards: Through Business Process Owners, define, maintain, and promote the M&S Data Standards to federate sites Key Users and Data Content Owners on one set of data and master data rules.
Master Data Management: Oversee the Master Data Management (MDM) initiatives to ensure consistent, high-quality data across the enterprise.
Data Lifecycle: Manage Data lifecycle processes, including data creation, modification, and deactivation. Comply with Sanofi AI RAISE principles.
Compliance: Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and industry standards.
Culture: Drive data literacy and foster a data-driven culture throughout the organization.
Business Process Ownership:
Process Standardization and modernization: Develop a global core model in line with Sanofi Operating Model standards, support its deployment partnering with Digital Factory, and monitor adherence. Drive modernization, simplification and standardization across functions and GBUs, including AI-enablement for all transactional tasks. Design Authority, ‘gate keeper ‘ and final approver for Standardized Business Process requirements, including Data and Master Data.
Compliance Monitoring: Ensure adherence to relevant regulations and policies within E2E processes across Plan to Manufacture domain. Establish self-auditing frameworks to proactively identify gaps, inefficiencies, or non-compliance.
Internal Control & Risk Management: Define, build, and monitor internal control and risk frameworks to mitigate business risks.
User & Customer Experience: Provide best-in-class user and customer (M&S Network Sites and Global Functions) experience by identifying their needs, managing their expectations, and measuring satisfaction. Secure Gen-AI automation for manual activities and transactional tasks.
Analytics & Reporting: Leverage analytics to define, manage, and monitor E2E process KPIs and related reporting. Track value generated from continuous improvement projects. Embed digital tools such as MySUA 2.0 and Plai in relevant routines.
Documentation: Build, own, and maintain relevant process documentation aligned with Simple to Operate principles.
Process Transformation: Design and transform processes to achieve best-in-class performance. Establish cross-functional ways of working and enhance the use of Business Operations services where applicable. Drive continuous improvement and innovation to foster efficiency and effectiveness, with focus on AI/GenAI enablers. Champion process innovation by identifying opportunities to leverage emerging technologies and best practices
Training & Communication: Embed innovation in roles through training and communications to continuously improve performance and ways of working. Support process adoption across functions and geographies through effective change tools.
About You

Experience and Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Science or/and Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).
Minimum 15 years of experience in data management/ relevant field, with at least 7 years in a leadership roles.
Experience in Pharmaceuticals/Biotech companies (Supply Chain/Operations).
Understanding of Artificial Intelligence principles and applications, understanding of machine learning, natural language processing, and other relevant AI technologies.
Proven track record of managing large teams and improving data quality and operational efficiency.
Strong understanding of data management principles, data lifecycle, and data quality best practices.
Experience with data management tools and technologies (e.g., MDM, data quality tools).
Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Proven experience in process management and digital transformation.
Strong understanding of compliance regulations and risk management.
Excellent analytical skills and experience with KPI management.
Ability to drive standardization and process improvement across functions and geographies.
