As Head of M&S Specialty Care Network Strategy within our Global Industrial Network Management Team, you will be critical in leading sourcing, network capacity, risk, and supply resilience activities, processes, and governance to support the Global Business Unit’s ambitions with a OneSanofi Manufacturing Network Mindset. Main responsibilities:

In this GBU-facing role you will lead the assessment of Specialty Care Network Strategy and roadmaps for relevant GBU Strategic Network topics and a strategic cross-GBU Techno Platform, ensuring its future-ready to deliver long-term supply efficiently and reliably.  

GBU Sourcing & Network Strategy

  • Lead the GBU Sourcing Process across all clusters and assets, orchestrating Sourcing Committee evaluations and securing leadership endorsement
  • Drive cross-functional business case assessments for strategic sourcing decisions, developing well-reasoned recommendations aligned with GBU Strategic Guiding Principles
  • Ensure all sourcing cases include comprehensive 10-year projections covering market demand, production, network supply, and product allocation
  • Identify and address mid- to long-term network portfolio topics (capacity, risk, resilience, regionalization) through appropriate governance
  • Provide an end-to-end view across sourcing cases and tech platforms, from raw materials to finished goods, incorporating regulatory, GMP, and geopolitical considerations

Strategic Demand Planning & Network Capacity

  • Own the long-range demand plan (2–10 year horizon) for the GBU brand portfolio, including assumptions and probability of success
  • Lead GBU capacity mapping and scenario planning to support strategic decision-making and establish long-range capacity utilization plans
  • Prepare strategic network capacity scenarios for M&S leadership, integrating sourcing, risk, resilience, and business development perspectives

Risk, Resilience & Business Continuity

  • Own the GBU risk matrix and resilience roadmap, including dual sourcing, monosourcing exit strategies, and strategic inventory planning
  • Lead annual portfolio risk assessments for top products, new launches, and supply continuity programs
  • Evaluate and mitigate emerging risks (e.g., nitrosamines, ICH M7) for critical and lifesaving products in collaboration with MSAT and support functions

Global Techno Platform Leadership

  • Lead the end-to-end strategy, roadmap, and governance for a global cross-GBU techno platform, covering sourcing, capacity, risk, and asset lifecycle
  • Drive investment decisions in collaboration with engineering, quality, and project portfolio management
  • Build and lead a cross-functional community of practice to standardize, harmonize, and modernize platform operations
  • Lead product allocation decisions for pipeline and lifecycle management projects through rigorous technical and business analysis

About you

Experience:

  • Extensive experience in the Biotech & Pharmaceutical Industry, ideally supporting E2E organizations and decision-making in Manufacturing & Supply

  • Large operations and technological background in an extensive range of fields (including end-to-end process technology, chemistry, drug product manufacturing solids & injectables, supply chain, quality and regulatory environments, end-to-end new product development processes from clinical phases to commercial production

  • Demonstrated experience in assessing product and manufacturing risk and potentially developing and leading resilience programs

  • Ability to understand and assess product and network strategies to secure long term supply in collaboration with relevant Sanofi Functions

  • Data Analysis, Budgeting and Business Case Development with ability to simplify key elements, quantify options at the appropriate level for decision-making

Soft and technical skills:

  • Enterprise Leader with an E2E vision of the business, prioritizing the common interest for the benefit of Sanofi and the patients

  • Strategic thinking and a disruptive approach to challenge the statusquo and consider long-term implications

  • Leadership skills to partner with multiple internal stakeholders and capacity to work transversally 

  • M&S Leaders Decision Support: Provides timely and data-based decision-making scenarios in a fast-moving and complex environment to drive performance and progress
