Reporting to the Head of Medical, this role will drive patient outcomes and business success, using scientific expertise to inspire, partner and lead in a designated therapeutic area(s). This role will take a key proactive leadership role in the brand team helping inspire Medical solutions and will be responsible for cross-functionally coordinating and leading the input of the extended Medical team into brand activities, and lead the strategic planning and delivery of the Medical component of the brand plan. This role will also take a leadership role in communicating with key customers and external stakeholders and help maintain a competitive advantage by working closely and in collaboration with key functions across Sales, Marketing and other business units to drive the brand’s success. The Medical Manager is also ultimately the patient advocate and is responsible for upholding internal policy and Code of Conduct compliance requirements.

Main Responsibilities:

The Singapore Medical Manager will participate to and execute the Medical and scientific (non-promotional) strategy for the Singapore Vaccines portfolio/therapeutic area in close partnership with the other functional franchise leads and in alignment with the overall franchise strategy. Main responsibilities include:

• Utilise strong business acumen, acting as a key strategic business partner to the organisation

• Initiate and drive projects to raise standards of care and change clinical practice

• Ability to work independently with a solutions-oriented and balanced approach to ambiguity

• Lead and drive rapid integrated evidence planning and execution through deep understanding of internal and external stakeholder evidence needs and robust data gaps analysis

• Deep therapy area expertise and product knowledge including competitor data

• Drive strong collaborative relationships with commercial and cross-functional teams, including marketing, value & access, health economics, regulatory and clinical

• Cultivate and maintain relationships with external experts

• Drive collaborative relationships with above-country colleagues to ensure the MCO / country involvement and strategic input into global and regional plans

• Good understanding of the impact and evolution of healthcare systems

• Lead creation and implementation of medical plans

• Ability to rapidly assimilate new data and integrate into new therapy area

• Create industry leading digital educational and scientific content that is timely, relevant, interactive and innovative

• Champion the patient voice when developing and implementing medical strategies

• Demonstrate strong leadership influencing across networks and by coaching and mentoring members of the team

Expanded Responsibilities:

Championing medical collaborations with payors 

• Develop a framework to assess the feasibility and establish medical collaborations with private and public payors in Singapore

• Utilisation of these collaborations to generate meaningful public health data and create evidence-based access pathways

• Enhance the bridging of medical strategy with value & access objectives

 Enhance trial capabilities in Singapore

• Development of a framework to assess and address insight and data generation capabilities in clinical trial landscape

• Map Singapore's clinical trial capabilities landscape to position Singapore to attract more trials in line with Sanofi’s pipeline strategy and early experience needs of Singapore KOLs

Foster Digital & AI Integration in Medical Operations 

• Drive collaborative relationships with cross and above-country colleagues to cultivate the adoption of digital and AI enablers in the medical function

• Evaluate digital tools for HCP engagements, medical data analysis and insights, as well as enhancement of public health partnerships in alignment with Sanofi’s digital transformation activities
