Summary of purpose/major responsibilities
The Logistics Technician is responsible for performing all raw material goods receipt for valid Purchase Order execution within SAP; non-batch, batch and quality managed batch-controlled material. Further responsible for the post goods receipt put away, storage and order picking of all warehoused material in accordance with good cGMP practices and as set forth in departmental SOPs. Additionally responsible for inter-plant delivery, inventory control, proper certifications for maintaining licensure for the operation of powered material handling equipment and the administration functions required to support departmental operations.
Position Overview:Responsible for raw material goods receipt, warehouse operations, and inventory management in a GMP environment using SAP. Supports production operations through efficient material handling and documentation while ensuring compliance with cGMP practices and safety protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage receiving operations (15%): Process incoming materials, verify against POs, and execute SAP transactions
- Perform warehousing duties (10%): Handle storage, picking, and material movement
- Maintain inventory control (10%): Ensure accuracy in SAP system and cycle counts
- Execute material handling operations (10%): Operate powered equipment and manage hazardous materials
- Process administrative tasks (10%): Complete documentation and coordinate with stakeholders
- Additional duties (45%): Maintain certifications, follow SOPs, manage temperature monitoring, and support safety initiatives
Required Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED
- 2+ years warehousing/logistics experience
- Valid driver's license with clean record
- SAP proficiency
- Forklift certification (required within first year)
Physical Requirements:
- Lift up to 50 lbs manually
- Operate in various temperature conditions
- Handle hazardous materials safely
- Work in warehouse environment with exposure to noise and dust
Work Schedule:Flexible schedule required with potential overtime and shift work based on production needs.

THE FINE PRINT
For influenza production roles (excluding FFIP roles): candidate must be able to be receive influenza vaccine which is required for building access
For aseptic area production roles (excluding Flu production tech roles): candidate must be able to obtain and maintain current aseptic gowning qualification
This position may be required to be moved or temporarily flexed to another department or building within the FFIP operation due to business needs. Additionally, candidates should expect to work in multiple buildings. Some over-time/off-shift work hours may be required based on business needs. We will attempt to provide as much advance notice as possible, two weeks where applicable if any such change is needed.
Must be able to lift up to 25 lbs., and bend/lift/move objects as part of the job.
Able to stand for up to 8 hours a day (with occasional breaks)
