The Outbound Logistics Technician reports to and supports the Manager, Logistics Operations, who is ultimately responsible for the management and leadership of all outbound shipping activities within the US Materials Management Group of Swiftwater Industrial Operations.
The Outbound Logistics Technician will have interactions focused mostly on Production support, but also plant-wide with Site Services, Finance & Administration, Industrial Operations, Commercial Operations, outside transportation services, outside vendors, regulatory agencies, and outside contractors/ consultants. Working in a multi-shift GMP production environment generates the need to work overtime as required, often with short notice and the working of various shifts, depending on business needs and production cycles. This position will be on a second shift schedule.

Main Responsibilities:
The Outbound Logistics Technician is responsible for but not limited to the following:
Outbound Shipping functions include:
Responsible for pick, pack and ship functions
Processing all shipments in a safe and compliant manner, while following hazmat/dangerous goods per DOT and IATA regulations, adhering to site cold-chain shipping process and chain-of-custody requirements
Working closely with other groups prior to shipment (Customer Account Management, Trade Compliance, Regulatory Affairs and Bio Safety)
Administrative Duties - all supporting documentation must be completed following corporate Good Documentation Practices, and must be retained as per site procedure requirements.
Safe working environment – must maintain a safe working environment within the assigned work area as well as other docks when preforming outbound shipping duties.
Inventory control of all materials within the SAP system as transacted in conjunction with the deliveries for bulk flu transitions
Receiving Functions
Performing all raw material goods receipt for valid Purchase Order execution within SAP; both non-batch, batch and quality managed batch-controlled material.
Post goods, receipt put away, storage and order picking of all warehoused material in accordance with good cGMP practices and as set forth in departmental SOPs.
Performing the receiving function initiated with the unloading of the physical receipt at the dock as set forth in departmental SOPs.
Processing any/all specialized receipt functions dealing with the importing of all non- Sanofi Pasteur US finished goods and filled containers for valid Schedule Agreement/Purchase Order execution within SAP.
Goods receipt put away, storage and order picking for all warehoused material in accordance with good cGMP practices and as set forth in departmental SOPs.
Material Handling Duties include but are not limited to the following:
Performing and controlling all logistical movements of material from receiving to storage, direct to production areas or to other designated areas and as set forth in departmental SOPs
About the Job
The ideal candidate will have experience and knowledge of the following:
General warehouse and material handling
Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, Internet Explorer)
Solid verbal and written communication skills
Safety-minded work ethic
Above average SAP skill set in the management of GMP material receipt and order fulfillment for production support.
Powered Material Handling equipment
Attention to the details and accuracy within good documentation practices
Create and maintain a safety culture
Qualifications - External
Education:
High School Degree or equivalent
Required:
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in warehousing/logistics/supply chain
Ability to lift 50 pounds (by movement, manual or mechanically assisted, of pallet loads, large drums, gas cylinders, etc.)
Valid Pennsylvania Driver’s License (clean driving record)
Ability to obtain DOT medical release
