Sanofi has currently the best and most robust pipeline of R&D and consequent new launches of our history. As new phase of Play-To-Win strategy, funding this pipeline and new launches is key to materialize the miracles of the science to improve people lives. Thus, as we enter the next phase, modernization of Sanofi is required as per the recent announcements on DRIVE, and in this respect, we are in the beginning stages of organizing the Go-to-Market Capabilities (GTMC) team at global level.

The GTMC organization will help us to drive best-in-class capabilities across the board and bring value and excellence in our commercial operations. This move is a key part of the aimed modernization of Sanofi and will allow us to focus on our priorities across our products, market and pipeline through the reallocation of resources and realizing the efficiencies of removing silos that exist between our business units, avoiding the duplication and overlapping of resources, standardizing our processes and tools, operating with a One Sanofi approach to accelerate our key capabilities development, and fostering the entrepreneurial spirit by speeding up the decision making.

Customer Facing L&D Execution and Analytics Manager team aims for:

  • Delivering training related to HCP’s and HCO’s engagement skills to generate the best impact.
  • Correlating training execution and respective assessments with real performance.
  • Standardizing reports and deliverables of training across markets and GBU’s to generate the best experience for field force and respecting the specificities of key markets and GBU’s.

Main responsibilities:

  • Ensure sustainable collaborative working relationship: Foster open communication and collaboration with Customer Facing Capabilities teams. Share best practices and lessons learned to improve key process.
  • Business engagement: Drive business outcomes by aligning training guidelines and plans with Global strategy and objectives. Understanding of business unit priorities, operating model, challenges and drivers. Establish a business partnering relationship with key stakeholders to develop relevant learning strategies.
  • Supports L&D operational framework and drive excellence in execution: Acts as Subject-matter expert to foster in-field teams efficiency and effectiveness. Challenge and provide recommendations for sales operations support processes and ensure alignment within the organization priorities encouraging continuous improvement. Examples of processes considered but not exhaustive are:
    • Training need assessment: Identify gaps, set objectives, and select tools available within Sanofi. Prepare L&D plan based on gap assessments identifying the key topics to be upskilled. Assess training needs, involve stakeholders, and analyse data and results to find insights. Act as performance improvement consultant to identify root cause of performance gap.
    • Commercial learning strategy: Deliver training to drive behaviour change and performance improvement within in-field teams, generating the best experience to the team. Utilize adult learning principles and instructional design best practices to create the best delivery system for training applicable to field force. Activate learning ecosystem as part of performance improvement interventions. Conduct benchmark with competition and other industries to identify novel and best practices to be incorporated within L&D annual delivery plan.
    • Training guidelines and standards: Create deliverables for the learning and development of capabilities for in-field teams, across markets and across GBU’s related knowledge and skills through onboarding. Maximize the use of global preferred vendors for contents generation. Develop and innovate in L&D deliverables, standardizing across markets and across GBU’s, generating the best experience for sales force and respecting the specificities of key markets and GBU’s.
    • Performance tracking: Use tools to measure training content was absorbed by field force teams. Analyse and articulate performance outcomes with training results to identify insights, best practices, role model. Correlate training and development activities and individual assessments with business performance.
    • Other Ad-hoc projects as assigned.

About you

Education Background:

University degree in Education, Human Resources, Organizational Development, Medicine, or a related field

Pharmaceutical Industry Understanding:

Years of Experience in Commercial Operations environment, especially in supporting field force operations:

  • Project management: ensure the correct pace of the acceleration.
  • Field force support background: robust knowledge with tools and platforms of customer facing operations, good experience with L&D subjects.

Competencies:

  • Business: Numerate and analytical skills; Ability to prioritize; Robust knowledge in Digital, IT and CRM; Financial acumen; Strong knowledge about the process of demand generation and demand capture within the pharmaceutical industry; Over achievement against set objectives; Ability to work on their own initiative and make quality decisions; Excellent interpersonal skills to communicate, present, persuade and argument among all GBUs teams and partners.
  • Leadership: Leads by example and walks the talk; Role models Play-To-Win principles and behaviours: Engages others through active and impactful communication; Demonstrates a high level drive, passion and ambition for high performance; Challenges continuously the status quo; Develops fresh approaches in order to deliver results; Has well-developed time management skills, mastering in prioritization tasks and planning own workloads to ensure deadlines and desired results are met.
  • Networking: Is a strong relationship builder; Seeks out new opportunities; Demonstrates teamworking and shares best practices always; Has experience of successfully leading projects in multicultural environments and in a matrix organization.
  • Strategic analysis and planning, project management, excellent English language knowledge and skills (written and oral), IT knowledge and skills, proven impactful communication, presentation, persuasion, skills ability to work cross-functionally.
  • Experience in having deployed transformational GTM solutions and new customer facing tools implementation.
  • Proven delivery of outstanding results.
  • Other skills: Hands-on, accountability, creativity, initiative, high persistence and resilience, stress management, learning agility, result orientation, ability to work on one’s own, continuous improvement, listening skills, empathy to understand the needs of the different businesses within distinct geographies.

Language Proficiency:

Excellent English language knowledge and skills (written and oral).

Critical Experiences required to be successful in the Role:

  • Demonstrated previous sales training experience, with a modern approach using educational technology and having a holistic performance improvement approach.
  • Proven experience with scientific topics and with the process of demand generation and demand capture within pharmaceutical industry.
  • Mastery experience in development and learning skills, preferably in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Relevant experience in building coaching and sales leadership capabilities, as well as customer facing roles capabilities.
  • Ability to leverage networks, influencing and leading projects to develop people, coach and give feedback, empower people.
  • Experience in having deployed transformational GTM solutions and new customer facing tools implementation.
  • Ability to lead change while achieving business goals and objectives, act for change, challenging continuously the status quo.
  • High persistency and resilience.
