Job Title: Manufacturing Support Manager

This position is for a Manufacturing Manager at the Sanofi Site in Pearl River, New York. This role will focus on the manufacturing of Flublok (recombinant influenza vaccine) Drug Substance. The role will support aspects of the manufacturing process including GMP cleaning, utilities sampling, environmental monitoring, solution/media and buffer preparation prep, Daily the manager will lead and manage a dedicated team of 4 to 8 full time manufacturing operators. The manager will establish and communicate daily priorities to the team, ensuring alignment and achievement of production goals. The manager will also ensure all manufacturing areas are in a state of audit readiness and proactively address and resolve any potential issues. The manager will be accountable for ensuring all manufacturing targets are met while emphasizing Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost. The manager will also serve as the department's 'Safety Champion' and spend 25% of their time supporting, promoting and coordinating with the Health and Safety team.

Main Responsibilities

• The Manufacturing Manager provides leadership to the Manufacturing Support Services team at the Sanofi Pearl River Site.
• In this role, the Manager directs, plans and oversees Manufacturing Support activities while ensuring safety, compliance and manufacturing targets.
• The Manager is responsible for ensuring their team of 4-8 people meets or exceeds all manufacturing performance targets while maintaining an atmosphere of safety, compliance and accountability.
• The Manager will serve as the department's 'Safety Champion' Communicating HSE topics (best practices, trainings, Learning from Experience events, etc.) by monitoring departmental HSE performance via dashboards, being the Point of contact between HSE and department, performing HSE onboarding and training and additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.

About You

Basic Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in Pharmaceutical or other regulated industry.
• Minimum 2-3 years’ experience leading or managing teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• BA or BS from an accredited institution in Science, Business or related field.
• Masters or MBA from an accredited institution.
• Certified Lean Six Sigma Green Belt/Black Belt.
• Experience utilizing daily capacity management (DCM) or similar tool to manage team.
• Experience implementing or utilizing Lean/Six Sigma Tool.
