To facilitate this transformation procurement has verticalized the management of procurement categories, with buyers only located in a few key locations. There will be greater focus on strategic initiatives, providing expert guidance and leading with our Business Partners key enabler projects while also further understanding and evolving smart spending as a way to continue excellence in our supplier base as One Sanofi.

Procurement will enable delivery of best-in-class vendor solutions and management, bringing outside perspectives and benchmarks inside and supporting our businesses across the organization to deliver solutions at the right cost, quality and within the correct timeframe needed for our business.

The Head of Procurement UK and Ireland is an agile, self-driven, pro-active and motivated individual taking ownership of UK and Ireland, in both COGs and indirect areas, regardless of reporting structure constructs. He/She is the face of Procurement locally, Process owner, an expert in his/her locality and responsible to ensure communication, efficiency, delivery, connection in UK/IE along with key business partner interaction & forum representation.

Main responsibilities:

• Strategic Business Partnership - Serves as single point of contact for country leadership, providing feedback on global strategies while driving local implementation and maintaining strong relationships with UK/IE management.

• Value Creation & Cost Management - Delivers value through local initiatives with vendors, supports Procurement global teams to reduce third-party expenses, and aligns procurement activities with budgetary processes.

• Supplier Relationship Management - Participates in local SRM programs, validates supplier segmentation, supports relationships with local suppliers, and sources innovative vendors that can be leveraged across domains.

• Compliance & Risk Management - Ensures implementation of global procurement policies, maintains understanding of local compliance requirements, supports audits, and maintains procurement Business Continuity Plans at UK/IE level.

• Knowledge Management & Communication - Ensures knowledge repositories are up-to-date, leads communication programs at local level, provides geographical input for global initiatives, and promotes a common culture among team members.

• People Development & Talent Management - Promotes positive culture within the procurement community, supports organizational design and ensures proper transversal talent management.

About you

• Education & Experience - Bachelor's degree in a relevant field; advanced degree (MBA, Masters) in procurement, business, or finance preferred.

• Language Proficiency - Fluent in English (written and spoken).

• Strategic Leadership - Ability to manage across country level with diverse business partners and influence across all management levels and business functions.

• Procurement Expertise - Knowledge of best-in-class procurement techniques and processes; experience in procurement/organization hub matrix working environment preferred.

• Communication & Networking - Strong communication skills with ability to adapt style to different audiences; excellent networking abilities across various stakeholders.

• Analytical & Change Management - High-level analytical skills with ability to utilize tools/systems; demonstrable experience in deploying change management initiatives.

• Professional Attributes - International and multicultural mindset; ability to work independently on multiple priorities; willingness to challenge status quo; role model in compliance and ethics; availability to travel up to 10% of working time.
