About the job

The Controlling Operations M&S SD Manager LATAM drives operational excellence for Costing and Opex in financial controlling across the relevant sites in the scope of accountability. This scope is overseeing an annual Opex of ~0,1 € billion. He or She is accountable for the smooth and efficient execution of services, resolving operational issues promptly, being the point of contact for local operational teams to manage day-to-day operations. Their focus is on leading the SD delivery teams to enable operational excellence in line with defined service levels and organizational objectives. Furthermore, He or She plays a crucial role overseeing end to end service quality, optimizing processes and compliance on manufacturing site level. Fostering relationships with stakeholders, managing conflicts and providing insights. This operational role leads a team of: 10 controllers including a project portfolio of about ~9m€ and GMID complexity of 2 kunits. The role plays a pivotal role in delivering and providing financial insights, and maintaining robust control while partnering with key stakeholders within M&S. The incumbent will be responsible to manage multiple stakeholders to ensure all internal and external factors impacting the M&S area are understood, communicated and applied in the development of financial forecasts and budgets and will develop partnerships with the M&S Finance Business Partners as well as Budget Owners at Manufacturing site level to drive results and control forecasts and budgets..

Main responsibilities:

  • Lead financial controlling activities for Opex (~€0.1B), project portfolio (~€9M), and costing complexity (~2k GMIDs) across LATAM

  • Drive accurate planning, forecasting, and real‑time performance tracking at manufacturing sites

  • Provide clear financial insights and recommendations to support strategic and operational decisions

  • Ensure proper Opex monitoring, reviews, provisioning, and accruals

  • Oversee costing activities including Added Value analysis, yield performance, substitution impacts, and PPV management

  • Ensure delivery of high-quality M&S financial reports and analyses

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of specialized controllers, promoting collaboration and continuous improvement

  • Build strong relationships with site teams, Finance Business Partners, and global service leaders

  • Ensure alignment with global finance standards, core models, and compliance requirements

  • Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring adherence to policies and supporting audits

About you

Experience: Background in Finance with Progressive responsibilities, experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industry, solid understanding of M&S processes, experience supporting transformation or process improvements

Soft & Technical Skills: Ability to coordinate and motivate teams, strong communication skills to simplify financial information, capability to implement process improvements and adapt to shifting priorities, practical decision‑making and tactical planning abilities, ability to maintain strong relationships and manage team dynamics, emotional intelligence and self‑awareness. Advanced expertise in financial controlling, strong project financial management capabilities, knowledge of process improvement methodologies, experience with KPIs, performance monitoring, and financial risk management, solid budgeting and forecasting skills, understanding of financial aspects of pharmaceutical manufacturing, data analysis and reporting proficiency, experience with ERP and financial systems,

Languages: Advance English Level
