Do you want to contribute directly to turning Sanofi into an AI-powered organization by putting Digital at the core of our operations in M&S, R&D and Commercial areas? By joining the Controlling Operations team, supporting Digital, this is an opportunity to have direct impact in this area and supervise operational finance on a scope that represents 25% of the total Group Corporate Functions Budget. The Team Manager Global Corporate Function – Digital will play a pivotal role in Sanofi's strategic transformation of financial controlling by managing Digital Stakeholders (Finance BPs & Digital Function) and leading a team of 9 people across 3 different geographies.

The incumbent will drive financial excellence for the Digital Function, with hands-on expertise to guarantee the delivery and the quality of the Financial Statements on the closing, analysis and forecasting for €1,200M budget, of which 70% is non-personnel Costs. This position offers a unique opportunity to directly impact Sanofi's financial strategy and decision making while leading a multicultural team in a rapidly evolving, purpose-driven healthcare environment. The incumbent will be instrumental in shaping the future of our Corporate Function controlling, aligning with Sanofi's mission to chase the miracles of science for the benefit of people's health worldwide.

This new role is created within the broader context of a strategic transformation of the core model for ContOps for Corporate Function, as part of the strategy to keep reinforcing the value created in our Hubs.

Main responsibilities:

  • Lead financial controlling activities for the €1.2B Digital budget across closing, forecasting, planning, and reporting.

  • Drive Digital‑specific financial processes: project controlling, commitment tracking, CAPEX, depreciation/capitalization simulation, MDM updates, perimeter changes, and recharging.

  • Ensure accurate, timely, and insightful financial analysis to support strategic decision making.

  • Harmonize and standardize ways of working across all geographies.

  • Act as the primary financial partner for Global FBPs, Digital leadership, and in‑country teams.

  • Communicate complex financial insights effectively to non‑financial stakeholders.

  • Lead and develop a team of 9 controllers across three hubs, ensuring high‑quality service delivery.

  • Promote collaboration, performance, continuous improvement, and capability building within the team.

  • Ensure adherence to the Controlling Core Model, driving process optimization and operational excellence.

  • Lead AI‑driven transformation initiatives in project controlling.

  • Oversee SOX compliance, financial controls, and audit support.

  • Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring compliance with policies and governance standards.

About you 

  • Experience:  5+ years of people management experience, experience in pharmaceutical/healthcare industry, strong understanding of OPEX processes, global FBP for the Function, N-1s of Global FBP, Functional Budget owners, GPL, IC&P Internal Control

  • Soft and technical skills: Strong leadership profile with the ability to guide and align teams toward broader organizational objectives while fostering talent development and building future leadership capabilities. Clear and effective communication across multiple levels and cultures is essential, along with the ability to lead and embed significant change. The ideal candidate demonstrates strategic thinking, strong business acumen, and confidence in making sound decisions even in ambiguous contexts. Success in the role also depends on the ability to engage and influence stakeholders, navigate and resolve complex situations, and maintain a professional presence that inspires trust and promotes emotional intelligence in team interactions. Advanced expertise in financial controlling and project financial management, supported by solid knowledge of process improvement methodologies, performance metrics, and KPI management. The candidate must be proficient in risk management, budgeting, forecasting, and possess strong analytical and reporting capabilities. A high level of comfort with ERP systems and financial tools is essential to ensure accuracy, efficiency, and excellence in operational delivery.

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field, 8+ years of relevant experience in financial controlling.

  • Languages:   Fluent English communication and writing skills.
