The Team Manager Global Corporate Function – Business Operations, GTMC will play a pivotal role in Sanofi's strategic transformation by managing stakeholders across Business Operations and Go To Market Capabilities (Global FBPs and Business Leaders). You will lead a team of 13 controllers across 3 different geographies supporting our global hub operations and commercial capabilities, which are fundamental to simplifying processes, driving innovation, and enabling effective market strategies across Sanofi.

The incumbent will drive financial excellence for Business Operations (including GTMC functions), with hands-on expertise to guarantee the delivery and quality of Financial Statements on the closing, analysis and forecasting for €1,000M budget, of which 45% is non-personnel cost.

As a key player in our transformation journey, the Team Manager will:

  • Elevate controlling operations by implementing innovative approaches to financial management,

  • Spearhead the adoption of AI in project controlling practices

  • Build and maintain critical partnerships with Global FBPs, Digital leadership teams, and in-country operational teams,

  • Drive the harmonization and standardization of processes across geographies,

  • Ensure rigorous financial compliance, including SOX controls.

This position offers a unique opportunity to directly impact Sanofi's financial strategy and decision making while leading a multicultural team in a rapidly evolving, purpose-driven healthcare environment. The incumbent will be instrumental in shaping the future of our Corporate Function controlling, aligning with Sanofi's mission to chase the miracles of science for the benefit of people's health worldwide.

This new role is created within the broader context of a strategic transformation of the core model for ContOps for Corporate Function, as part of the strategy to keep reinforcing the value created in our Hubs.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Financial Control and Management:

    • Lead financial controlling activities for 1000 m€ budget for Business Operations and Go To Market Capabilities Functions with a specific focus on different HUBs,

    • Manage function-specific operational needs (eg. GTMC projects, BO hub ramp-up/ramp-down, market research, product allocations, MDM changes and perimeter changes, global tactical templates, business cases, operationalization of challenges, etc.),

    • Ensure accurate financial planning, tracking, and reporting for scope of responsibility,

    • Provide financial insights to support strategic decision making,

    • Ensure harmonization and standardization of ways of working across geographies,

    • Driving the convergence of GTMC processes within the Global Corporate Functions model while understanding GTMC specificities,

    • Supporting the teams to achieve customer-focused objectives and contribute to the strategic enhancement of the core model, user experience, and process excellence.

  • Team Leadership:

    • Lead and develop a team of ~13 specialized controllers across three hubs,

    • Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality controlling services,

    • Establish clear objectives, expectations, and performance metrics aligned with broader organizational goals,

    • Foster a collaborative environment that promotes excellence and continuous improvement,

    • Build CF capabilities and expertise within the team,

    • Build and enhance project controlling capabilities within the team.

  • Stakeholder Management:

    • Serve as key financial partner to BO and GTMC leadership teams (Global FBPs & FP&A),

    • Build strong relationships with hub leaders and in-country operational teams,

    • Ensure alignment with global finance strategies,

    • Communicate financial insights effectively to non-financial partners.

  • Process Excellence:

    • Ensure adherence to core mode,

    • Drive efficiency improvements in financial operations,

    • Implement and maintain quality standards across all deliverables,

    • Monitor and report on team performance metrics,

    • Play a key role in the transformation of project controlling practices (AI adoption),

    • Implement specific expertise across the team.

  • Risk Management and Compliance:

    • Oversee financial compliance for SOX controls,

    • Identify and mitigate financial risks,

    • Ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures,

    • Support audit requirements and regulatory compliance.

About you

Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field,

  • 8+ years of relevant experience in financial controlling,

  • 5+ years of people management experience,

  • Experience in pharmaceutical/healthcare industry,

  • Strong understanding of OPEX processes.
