The Team Manager Global Corporate Function – RE WE will play a pivotal role in Sanofi's strategic transformation of financial controlling by managing RE WE function stakeholders. (Global FBPs and Business Leaders). You will lead a team of 9 controllers across 3 different geographies supporting our facilities management and real estate operations, which are fundamental to creating innovative, sustainable, and employee-centric workplaces across Sanofi.
The incumbent will drive financial excellence for the RE WE Function, with hands-on expertise to guarantee the delivery and the quality of the Financial Statements on the closing, analysis and forecasting for €800M budget, of which 60% is non-personnel Costs.
As a key player in our transformation journey, the Team Manager will:
Elevate controlling operations by implementing innovative approaches to financial management of real estate and workplace services,
Spearhead the adoption of data analytics and AI in project controlling practices,
Build and maintain critical partnerships with Global FBPs, REWE leadership teams, and in country operational teams,
Drive the harmonization and standardization of processes across processes across geographies,
Ensure rigorous financial compliance, including SOX controls.

Main Responsibilities:
Financial Control and Management
Lead financial controlling activities for 800 m€ budget for Real Estate and Workplace Experience Function with special focus on REWE Function specificities,
Manage function-specific operational needs (eg. RE projects, IFRS 16, CBRE expenses, MDM changes and perimeter changes, business cases, lease contracts, project tracking, CAPEX tracking, depreciation and capitalization simulations, rebilling, operationalization of challenges, etc.),
Ensure accurate financial planning, tracking, and reporting,
Provide financial insights to support strategic decision making,
Ensure harmonization and standardization of ways of working across geographies,
Support the teams to achieve customer-focused objectives and contribute to the strategic enhancement of the core model, user experience, and process excellence.
Team Leadership
Lead and develop a team of 9 specialized controllers across three hubs,
Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality controlling services,
Establish clear objectives, expectations, and performance metrics aligned with broader organizational goals,
Foster a collaborative environment that promotes excellence and continuous improvement,
Build function capabilities and expertise within the team,
Build and enhance project controlling capabilities within the team.
Stakeholder Management
Serve as key financial partner to RE WE leadership teams (Global FBPs & FP&A),
Build strong relationships with hub leaders and in-country operational teams,
Ensure alignment with global finance strategies,
Communicate financial insights effectively to non-financial partners.
Process Excellence
Ensure adherence to core mode,
Drive efficiency improvements in financial operations,
Implement and maintain quality standards across all deliverables,
Monitor and report on team performance metrics
Play a key role in the transformation of project controlling practices (AI adoption),
Implement specific expertise across the team.
Risk Management and Compliance
Oversee financial compliance for SOX controls,
Identify and mitigate financial risks,
Ensure adherence to financial policies and procedures,
Support audit requirements and regulatory compliance.
About you
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field,
8+ years of relevant experience in financial controlling,
5+ years of people management experience,
Experience in pharmaceutical/healthcare industry,
Strong understanding of OPEX processes.
