Sanofi Business Operations (BO), is operating a captive Business Services HUB center in Budapest to provide Finance & Accounting as well as Employee oriented (Employee Experience) services.
With respect to Account to Report (A2R) the Business Operations will be covering the following areas of the process:
- Assets Management
- Tax accounting
- Intercompany Accounting / Related Party flows management
- Treasury accounting
- GL accounts closing and reporting
The purpose of this role is to:
- Deliver related party accounting services
- Manage the accounting and reporting of related 3rd party accounts
- Manage external relations
- Address operational issues and follow through to resolution in an effective and timely manner
- Deliver, monitor operational KPIs and comply with Sanofi policies and guidelines
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
The Interco CoE Related 3rd Party Operation Analyst reports to Head of Interco CoE Operations Related 3rd Party. Lead and works closely with Finance (Controlling, Treasury, Tax, Internal Control...), other BO departments, Customer Service and the A2R team.
Main responsibilities:
- Deliver intercompany accounting services to Interco CoE Operations Related 3rd Party flows
- Reconcile intercompany accounts, analyze and solve discrepancies and declare in netting system
- Manage external relations including tax authorities’ queries or audits
- Contribute to business reviews
- Execute in compliance of processes, transactions and reports with Sanofi accounting policies, internal control guidelines and audit / SOX requirements
- Complete all activities as per the global Core Model and operational KPIs
- Develop expert level knowledge of the activities in scope as well as local knowledge of entities in scope and become a super-user
- Pro-actively anticipate operational issues and coach junior analysts
- Build, document and transfer A2R Core Model process knowledge (Level 6/7) relating accounting activities
Continuous improvement:
- Identify process improvement opportunities through elimination of redundant activities
- Participate in process automation initiatives and ensure seamless adoption and transition
About you
Education:
- Graduate degree in accounting or finance (essential)
Experience:
- Min. 3 years of proven experience in GL accounting preferably in an international multicultural environment (essential)
- Knowledge of IFRS and local GAAPs (essential)
- Hands on expertise in corporate tax accounting and intercompany processes and activities (essential)
- Knowledge of GL accounting and reporting (essential)
- Experience in working within a Business Services organization (advantageous)
- Good business acumen (advantageous)
Soft and technical skills:
- Ability to interact with internal and external clients in a professional manner (essential)
- Team player, able to work collaboratively transversally and with A2R front line teams with an end to end mindset (essential)
- Good communication skills (essential)
- Attentive to customer needs and feedback (essential)
- Strong problem solving, deductive and analytical skills (advantageous)
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office and expertise of MS Excel (essential)
- Hands-on experience of SAP FICO (essential) and other accounting related IT tools (e.g. Trintech Cadency) (advantageous)
Languages:
- Fluent in English (essential)
- Knowledge of other European languages (advantageous)
