The Associate Director, Patient Support Services Analytics & Reporting will be responsible for leading analytics and reporting of Patient Support Services (PSS) metrics and performing analyses on PSS programs and projects.  This individual will be an integral partner to the US Rare Diseases PSS leadership team, supporting patient journey, conversion, adherence analyses as well as providing Insights. In addition, this individual will be responsible for proactively identifying areas of opportunity through use of PSP, SP (Specialty Pharmacy), and claims data.  This position reports to Senior Director, PSS Analytics & Reporting.

Main Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and measure key performance indicators (KPI) associated with patient services strategies, tactics, and programs. Lead development, production, and maintenance of KPI dashboards for the SPC PSS team. 35%     

  • Run and analyze daily automated analytics by direct review in the Microsoft Power BI Tool.

  • Define and design the logic/code for patient services KPIs for individual patient services field forces in collaboration with team Directors.

  • Define and design the logic/code for patient services KPIs for operations teams and program-level business goals.

  • Create, run, and validate insights provided to leadership, operations, and internal patient services teams – established performance indicators are industry-standard such as number of tasks completed for a given field team or number of enrolled patients in the given patient services program.

  • Collaborate with patient services leadership and marketing teams to provide key product insights to GM via monthly review and more frequent launch-specific data readouts.

User Lead for PSS Dashboard development:

  • Directly perform user acceptance testing (UAT) in the UAT instance of the dashboards.

  • Receive initial requests for troubleshooting and/or defects from users, related to dashboard performance or issues with displayed results.

Act as strategic partner to the SPC patient services leadership in key activities, such as brand planning, performance reviews, product launches, and assessment of new initiatives. 35% 

  • Deliver a business needs-driven set of insights via monthly/weekly/daily reports for various stakeholders – via Power BI reports, CRM extracts, or summary tables.

  • Update and deliver periodic insights via Power BI PowerPoint Add-ins

  • Catalog and industrialize frequently requested reporting needs to continually enhance existing analytics dashboards or add to the queue for new development.

Lead patient services Analytics/Insights training and user experience (currently iCare Insights Analytics Tool):

  • Train team members on the analytics tool via direct training sessions. Zoom or in-person.

  • Collaborate with tool users over specific issues/questions for pulling various views or reports for their individual business needs.

  • Partner with SPC Brand analytics and forecasting teams to ensure alignment of KPIs across Commercial and PSS reporting.

  • Conduct process flow mapping analyses to understand patient and HCP barriers to starting treatment

Perform ad-hoc sub-national analyses to proactively identify areas of opportunities and threats, leveraging PSS program and tactic utilization, field activities, and customer adoption metrics.

  • Directly query the database using SQL and Python to provide ad hoc analytics or reports across SPC patient services needs.

  • Create and deliver ad hoc reports from available tools – direct exports from the dashboards, CRM (Customer Relationship Management) extracts, or tailored lists of patients/claims/tasks etc.

  • Maintain a query repository for users in PSS to have the ability to directly run specific custom analyses.

Coordinate with data management to ensure insights are based on reliable, high-quality information.10%

  • Perform daily quality checks on existing dashboards in the iCare Insights analytics tool. Defects are escalated appropriately to the iCare Connect (CRM) team and/or data management team.

  • Collaborate at-minimum weekly with data management team to align on any changes at the data source layer or to the ETL process that might have an impact on patient services metrics.

About You

MINIMUM EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Engineering, or related discipline

  • Minimum of 5+ years of Pharmaceutical, Commercial Analytics/Forecasting, Sales Operations, or Consulting experience

  • Proficiency of programming languages (e.g., SQL, SAS, Python, R, VBA)

  • Experience working with SP data files (e.g., Capgemini)

  • Experience working with CRM data systems (e.g., Veeva, Salesforce)

  • Familiarity with data visualization and business intelligence tools (e.g., Qlik Sense, Tableau)

  • Advanced knowledge of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)

  • Strong strategic awareness and business acumen

  • Strong proven leadership, communication, and presentation skills

  • Demonstrated ability to work in a matrixed environment with many cross-functional partners

  • Self-starter, proactive in nature, and actively participates

  • Ability to understand and influence decisions

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Master’s Degree in or MBA preferred

  • Experience in hemophilia, Rare Diseases or Specialty Care

  • Experience with pharmaceutical data sources (e.g., IQVIA, Symphony, Komodo)
