Your job, as Supply Chain Manager within our External Manufacturing & Supply organization, will be to ensure the coordination of all the supply chain activities of the EUROAPI supplier of materials for the various Sanofi customers (internal pharmaceutical sites, Contract Manufacturing Organizations, licensees, external customers).

We are looking for our next Global Supply Chain strategy Lead.

Main responsibilities:

  • Lead the annual GSC strategy process in close collaboration with the Head of GSC Strategy & Excellence and the overall GSC Leadership team, aligning with Sanofi’s overall business, manufacturing & and supply strategy and ensuring consistency with Sanofi’s long-term goals and objectives
  • Lead the SC short-term strategy (Compelling business needs CBN) and annual priority setting process and contribute to the M&S CBN and priority-setting
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams within the supply chain (e.g., Centers of Excellence, Project and Business Excellence, GBU Supply Chain, Market Supply Chain, Global Logistics etc.) and M&S functions (e.g., Strategy and Operational Excellence, Quality), M&S GBUs and Digital to ensure insights, strategic alignment and end-to-end coherence
  • Ensure that strategic planning incorporates numerical analysis and leverages digital tools and latest technologies to support data-driven decision-making
  • Incorporate best-in-class external insights and innovations to ensure an “outside-in” perspective into GSC strategy making
  • Maintain ongoing relations with external consultants and research firms, attend relevant congresses, and engage in peer networking to stay abreast of industry advancements
  • Conduct business intelligence gathering and analysis on relevant external intelligence for Global Supply Chain and incorporate into the strategy building process and regularly communicate insights about emerging trends, risks and opportunities to relevant stakeholders
  • Manage and oversee the centralized knowledge repository and ensure the effective distribution of insights and intelligence across the organization
  • Maintain and develop processes for monitoring of strategic progress and alignment with business needs
  • Act as a key member of the Global Supply Chain Strategy and Excellence Leadership Team

About you

Experience:

  • Proven track record in leading strategy development processes, cross-functional collaboration, and project management
  • Experience in manufacturing and supply within the biotech, pharmaceutical, health technology or healthcare industry and/or management consulting or similar
  • Strong background in strategy, innovation, digital experience incl. (gen)AI, data & analytics an asset
  • Delivering transformation and breakthrough in a complex environment
  • Developing organization capability and talent
  • Indirect and direct leadership

Soft skills:

  • Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to drive strategy and long-term modernization roadmap building
  • Ability to engage and collaborate with external partners to develop and deliver short, medium- and long-term strategies
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate & inspire at all levels across a matrix structure
  • High level of emotional intelligence and business integrity
  • Role model for behaviours consistent with our company values

Technical skills:

  • Technically savvy
  • Deep understanding of emerging innovations and technologies
  • Ability to understand and interpret Supply Chain and Business KPIs to inform strategy development
  • Knowledge of business and innovation frameworks
  • Experienced facilitator
  • Rounded presentation skills

Education:

  • Degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or similar, advanced degree such as executive MBA or PhD in a relevant field considered an asset. APICS certification an asset

Languages:

  • Fluent in English
