Digital R&D Test Automation Specialist

As a Test Automation Engineer within Sanofi's Global Digital R&D Software Engineering team, you will support the development and execution of automated test solutions that ensure the quality and reliability of Sanofi's digital products. Working within an Agile squad under the guidance of senior engineers, you will build foundational skills in test automation while contributing to the team's quality objectives. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career professional to grow their expertise in test automation within a global healthcare technology environment.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Test Automation Support
• Develop and maintain basic automated test scripts for functional and regression testing using established frameworks and patterns
• Execute automated test suites and report results to the team, escalating issues as needed
• Support the maintenance of existing automation frameworks under senior guidance
• Assist in test environment setup and test data preparation activities
• Participate in sprint ceremonies and contribute to test planning discussions
Quality Assurance Activities
• Work with developers and senior QA engineers to understand requirements and acceptance criteria
• Document and track defects clearly, following established processes and templates
• Support manual testing activities when automation coverage is not yet available
• Assist in the validation of bug fixes and feature implementations
• Contribute to the creation and maintenance of test documentation
Learning & Development
• Actively learn test automation tools, frameworks, and best practices relevant to the team's technology stack
• Participate in code reviews for test scripts, focusing on learning and applying feedback
• Engage in training sessions, internal workshops, and knowledge-sharing activities
• Follow Sanofi's coding standards, security guidelines, and quality processes
• Seek mentorship from senior team members to accelerate skill development
Team Collaboration
• Work collaboratively within an Agile/Scrum team, participating in daily stand-ups and sprint activities
• Communicate progress, challenges, and learning needs clearly to team leads and managers
• Support team documentation efforts and knowledge base maintenance
• Assist with onboarding activities for new team members

• API Testing: Basic understanding of REST APIs and testing tools like Postman
• CI/CD Tools: Exposure to Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or similar platforms
• Cloud Platforms: Basic awareness of AWS, Azure, or GCP concepts
• Version Control: Working knowledge of Git and version control practices
• Test Management Tools: Familiarity with Jira or similar project management tools
• Agile/Scrum: Understanding of Agile principles and ceremonies
• Testing Fundamentals: Strong foundation in software testing principles and methodologies
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
• Education: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field
• Experience: 3+ years of experience in software testing, quality assurance, or related technical roles
• Basic programming experience and willingness to develop automation skills
• Understanding of software development lifecycle and testing principles
• Experience with or exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Pharma/Life Sciences experience is a plus but not required
