About the job:

• Design, build, and maintain data structures to support Master Data quality initiatives.

• Develop and manage Snowflake-based data architectures and advanced data models including star & snowflake schemas optimized for analytics.

• Design and implement modular, reusable SQL models in dbt

• Integrate dbt with orchestration tools and cloud warehouses (Snowflake)

• Implement best practices for data governance, integrity, and compliance across Snowflake and DBT workflows.

• Secure master data (MD) quality and availability at the Sanofi target

• Support master data quality improvement activities across all sites in the frame of M&S master data playbook

• Identify any master data quality and availability issues and propose solutions and remediation (continuous improvement spirit)

• Provide technical analysis on Masterdata and implementation of new scope

Key accountabilities:

Data technical lead

• Responsible for the architecture and data modelling of the DataLab

• Support the development of Power BI tools and Power Apps by providing organized data sets

• Design and manage Snowflake data architectures and advanced data models.

• Implement best practices for data governance, integrity, and compliance across Snowflake and dbt workflows

• Create and maintain optimal data pipeline architecture

• Develop data set processes for data modeling, sourcing and production

• Close collaboration with Digital data team to get the additional data added

Continuous improvement responsibility

• Driving continuous improvement for Master DataLab efficiency by identifying and raising initiatives to respective team lead

• Supporting Master DataLab evolutions, projects, and improvement initiatives by performing feasibility study and assessment

• Providing input for documentation, training materials, and knowledge management for the architecture, data modelling and technical part of the DataLab

Master data user support and monitoring

• Supporting MD community on site level, for instance conduct impact analyses for upcoming site project

• Contributing to the education of the Master Data community

About you  

• Experience:  Minimum 5 years in Data Engineering or Database developer with knowledge of pharma industry (e.g. Snowflake GxP, DBT). Preferably, work experience / educational background in data engineering & data analytics (covering supply chain mgmt. / logistics / pharma quality mgmt. / pharma manufacturing)

• Technical Skills:  Strong understanding of data engineering & data modeling. Advanced knowledge of SQL, including writing complex queries, stored procedures, views, etc. Work experience with Database (Snowflake – SQL,etc), Data processing (dbt, etc), Dashboarding (DAX, PowerQuery, etc), Version control (Github)

• Soft skills: Being thorough and consistent. Be a good communicator and team player to resolve ad-hoc issues and Strong willingness to learn.
