Intercompany Accounting is a complex environment with many departments involved different solutions and different sub-processes.

Interco is a complex environment with many departments involved different solutions and different sub-processes leading the need to focus on:

  • Increase automation

  • Optimize process

  • Centralize master data

  • Build a robust Governance

Accordingly, and in line with best practices, Sanofi decided to create an integrated interco Center of Excellence (CoE) combining a deep knowledge in business processes, technical expertise and software delivery with a passion for user experience. It is now planned to operate this Intercompany COE from a Global Hub which will be in Hyderabad. This role is reporting to the Interco CoE Operations Team Lead/Operation Manager based in Hyderabad.

Main responsibilities:

  • Operation: Deliver intercompany accounting services to Interco CoE Operations. Reconcile intercompany accounts, analyze and solve discrepancies and declare in netting system. Contribute to business reviews. Execute in compliance of processes, transactions and reports with Sanofi accounting policies, internal control guidelines and audit / SOX requirements. Complete all activities as per the global Core Model and operational KPIs. Develop expert level knowledge of the activities in scope as well as local knowledge of entities in scope

  • Pro-actively anticipate operational issues. This position may essentially work for Countries like USA and France plus other defined countries where transactions are considered to be complex and which have a high impact on Sanofi financials.

  • Continuous improvement: Participate in process automation initiatives and ensure requested testing processes. The Interco Coe Operation Accountant reports to Interco Operation Team Lead/operation manager and works closely with Finance (Controlling, P2P, Internal Control), Customer Services, Supply chain, procurement and other SBS streams contacts.

About you

  • Experience: Graduate degree in accounting or finance. Good and proven experience in ICO/Accounting environment (2 to 3 years) preferably in an international multicultural environment (advantageous).

  • Functional: Knowledge of IFRS and local GAAPs (advantageous). Hands on expertise intercompany processes and activities (advantageous). Knowledge of GL accounting and reporting (advantageous). Experience in working within a Business Services organization (advantageous). Good business acumen (advantageous). Strong problem solving, deductive and analytical skills (advantageous)

  • Technical: Hands on knowledge of SAP FICO and other accounting applications (advantageous). Knowledge of Microsoft Office and expertise of MS Excel

  • Interpersonal: Ability to interact with internal and external clients in a professional manner. Team player, able to work collaboratively transversally and with A2R front line teams with an end-to-end mindset. Good communication skills. Attentive to customer needs and feedback

  • Leadership: Ability to organize, prioritize and structure the tasks (essential). Attentive to detail and works with precision (advantageous). Action oriented, delivery driven, change agent (advantageous)

  • Languages: Fluent in English
