L’agent de liaison médicale (MSL, Medical Science Liaison) est un rôle de terrain chargé d’engager les leaders d'opinion actuels et futurs en partageant des données factuelles pour soutenir les produits commercialisés, d’introduire les produits à venir et d’impliquer ces leaders d'opinion dans les programmes de développement clinique de Sanofi.

Le MSL devra:

  • Devra se rapporter au Gestionnaire de MSLs Respiratoire et devra couvrir Québec, la Nouvelle-Écosse et le Nouveau-Brunswick.

  • Écrire et parler en Francais et Anglais

  • Présenter les données et les concepts de gestion de la maladie relatifs au traitement médical à des médecins, infirmières, autres professionnels de la santé et groupes de soutien aux patients, sur demande.

  • Contribuer au développement des opportunités de recherche (essais cliniques locaux et études initiées par des chercheurs) et des projets éducatifs dans les institutions académiques.

  • Fournir un soutien dans le domaine thérapeutique, y compris répondre aux informations non sollicitées sur les produits et les thérapies, à la demande des professionnels de la santé.

  • Identifier des informations clés (insights) qui approfondissent notre compréhension des besoins des patients, des consommateurs, des régulateurs, des payeurs et des prestataires de soins de santé, et identifier de manière proactive les besoins non satisfaits.

  • Utiliser de manière indépendante le Modèle d'Engagement Scientifique pour planifier et créer des stratégies médicales et des plans d'engagement pour le territoire et les parties prenantes individuelles (leaders d'opinion, payeurs, professionnels de santé, etc.), en cohérence avec les priorités médicales nationales, régionales et mondiales, et évaluer régulièrement l'efficacité du plan


Principales responsabilités:

Développement de leader d'opinion

  • Identifier, développer et entretenir des relations avec les leaders d'opinion actuels et futurs.

  • Former des conférenciers et des supporteurs parmi les leaders d'opinion.

  • Faire le lien entre les partenaires internes et les leaders d'opinion externes afin de favoriser la collaboration en matière d'éducation et de recherche.

  • Développer un contenu scientifique pour les comités aviseurs qui soit pertinent et aligné avec les priorités mondiales

  • Réseauter les leaders d'opinion avec d'autres clients externes.

  • Planifier et réaliser des publications.

Éducation médicale

  • Diffuser des informations scientifiques aux leaders d'opinion, y compris du matériel pédagogique médical innovant et des concepts de recherche.

  • Réaliser des présentations cliniques et scientifiques face à une audience œuvrant dans les soins de santé.

  • Favoriser l'échange d'informations médicales et scientifiques entre la communauté médicale et Sanofi.

  • Contribuer aux initiatives stratégiques et à la formation des équipes commerciales / marketing.

  • Développer et maintenir une base de données de présentations éducatives pertinentes

  • Réviser le matériel scientifique externe, par exemple les publications les plus récentes et pertinentes

  • Participer aux activités liées aux conférences nationales et internationales: participation, identification des résumés clés, résumé exécutif des présentations et affiches de la conférence

  • S’associer avec l’Information médicale pour l'élaboration et l'examen de réponses écrites

  • Réaliser la formation clinique et scientifique pour l’équipe médicale ou commerciale

Développement clinique

  • Identifier les sites d'étude, faciliter le recrutement et l’enrôlement.

  • Discuter et soutenir la soumission de propositions d'études initiées par les chercheurs

  • Identifier les données existantes et faciliter les publications, si pertinent.

Gestion de la relation client

  • Présenter des données cliniques et scientifiques factuelles pour soutenir les décisions thérapeutiques dans les soins aux patients.

  • Assurer la liaison entre les centres universitaires et Sanofi

  • Contribuer à l'évaluation des subventions pour les initiatives éducationnelles et de recherche.

  • Interagir avec les équipes médicales américaines et mondiales en Respiratoire

À propos de vous

Exigences clés pour le poste :

  • Diplôme d'une université accréditée (MSc, PhD, Pharm D, MD) requis

  • Domaine de spécialisation lié au domaine thérapeutique préféré

  • Diplôme post-baccalauréat d'une université accréditée (par exemple, MBA ou équivalent): utile, non requis

  • Au moins 1 an dans une fonction MSL

  • Expérience clinique en Respiratoire

  • Expérience démontrée dans l'établissement de relations avec des médecins leaders d'opinion, des pharmaciens, des infirmières et des groupes de soutien aux patients.

Join the team transforming care for people with immune challenges, rare diseases, cancers, and neurological conditions. In Specialty Care, you’ll help deliver breakthrough treatments that bring hope to patients with some of the highest unmet needs.

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) is a field-based role responsible for cultivating current and future Thought Leaders by sharing evidence-based data to support commercialized products, to introduce forthcoming products, and to engage those Thought Leaders in Sanofi clinical development programs.

The MSL will:

  • Report to the MSL Manager Respiratory and will cover QC, NS and NB

  • Require written and spoken in French & English

  • Present data and disease management concepts on medical treatment to Physicians, Nurses, other healthcare practitioners (HCPs), and Patient Support Groups, when requested. 

  • Contribute to developing research opportunities (local clinical trials & investigator-initiated studies) and educational projects at academic institutions.

  • Provide therapeutic area support including response to unsolicited off-label information on products & therapies, if requested by HCPs.

  • Identify insights that deepen our understanding of the needs of patients, consumers, regulators, payers, and healthcare providers and proactively identify unmet needs

  • Independently utilizes the Scientific Engagement Model to plan and create territory and individual stakeholder (KOL, payers, HCP etc..) medical strategy and engagement plans consistent with country, regional and global medical priorities and routinely evaluates the effectiveness of plan

Main Responsibilities:

Thought Leader Development

  • Identify, develop, and maintain relationships with current and future Thought Leaders.

  • Develop speakers and advocates among Thought Leaders.

  • Link internal partners to external Thought Leaders for education and research collaboration.

  • Advisory board development of scientific content which is relevant and aligned with global priorities.

  • Link Thought Leaders to other external customers.

  • Publication planning and implementation.

Medical Education

  • Disseminate scientific information including innovative medical education materials and research concepts to Thought Leaders.

  • Deliver clinical and scientific presentations to healthcare audiences.

  • Foster medical and scientific information exchange between the medical community and Sanofi.

  • Contribute to strategic initiatives and training of the sales/marketing teams.

  • Develop and maintain a database of relevant educational slide kits.

  • External scientific material review e.g most current and relevant publications

  • National and International conference activities: attendance, key abstract identification, executive summary of presentations and posters from the conference

  • Partnering with Medical Information in development and review of written responses

  • Clinical and Scientific training for both medical and marketing

Clinical Development

  • Study site identification, recruitment facilitation and enrollment.

  • Discuss and support the submission of Investigator Initiated Study proposals.

  • Identify existing data and facilitate publications as appropriate.

Customer Relationship Management

  • Present evidence-based clinical and scientific data to support therapeutic decisions in patient care.

  • Liaise between academic centres and Sanofi.

  • Contribute to the evaluation of grants for educational and research initiatives.

  • Interact with the US and Global Medical Affairs Respiratory team.

About You

Key Requirements:

  • Degree from an accredited university (MSc, PhD, Pharm D, MD) required.

  • Area of specialization related to therapeutic area preferred

  • Post-bachelor’s degree from accredited university (e.g. MBA or equivalent): valuable, not required

  • Minimum 1 year in an MSL function

  • Clinical experience in Respiratory

  • Demonstrated experience in building relationship with Thought Leaders, pharmacists, nurses, and patient support groups.

  • Ability to critically appraise scientific data. 

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills

  • Scientific and business acumen 

  • Understanding of the healthcare economic system

  • Results-oriented

Languages

Travel

  • The MSL Respiratory will cover QC, NS and NB. Travel is required up to 75% of the time. Travel will be mainly domestic.

  • Employee with a corporate vehicle. Drive the vehicle using safe driving practices, while complying with all current applicable laws and regulations, as well as all Sanofi directives
