As a Financial Analyst, you will be Providing accurate and timely information pertaining to Cost of goods manufactured to the management to enable them to monitor and control performance of the sites. Ensure that Group and Industrial Affairs Directions’ Standard procedures and processes are properly understood and applied. Accurate and timely reporting of financial data to support Decision Tool of Industrial Affairs.
Key responsibilities:
Global Reporting & Analytical Information
1. Monthly reporting and analyzing of Business Operating Income
2. Prepare monthly commentary to explain variances between actual results and/or budget and forecasts (accruals, journal entries, HC tracking…)
3. Uploading data relating to cost and financials in ERP tools like Atlas, TM1, SAP.
4. Sharing information with global teams on costs & P&L as required
5. Understand financial entries and responsible for posting in Blackline. Allocation of costs locally and globally for expenses.
Prepare and submit rolling forecasts and Budget P&L for next year
1. Working on standard cost calculation & updating in SAP & Central tools like Atlas, MARCO, MARS.
2. Ability to do expense analysis and loading on TM1. Make comprehensive excel files including Cost center and Analytical Nature analysis
3. Track all assumptions built into budget and forecasts
4. Identify risks and opportunities that affect the achievement of these forecasts and clearly communicate with site Finance Business partner and Budget Owners
Stakeholder Collaboration & Projects
1. Support all key Finance initiatives
2. Ad hoc projects and analyses as required
3. Partner closely with Finance Business Partners across
GBUs, to provide cohesive and seamless support to Business Leaders
4. Develop a standard dashboard and/or scorecard of Opex and headcount results
Internal / Statutory Control and Audits
1. Ensure compliance with all internal control requirements
2. Maintain All accounts duly reconciled
3. Continuously challenge legacy ways of working, status quo; identify gaps, and recommend new ways of working
Communication
1. Improve communication & coordination between M&S Global Finance & Controlling
2. Play crucial role in discussing legal accounting and local statutory requirements with Tax, Treasury, A2R and GBU Finance Teams
About you
· Advanced excel skills
· Must be able to download data and use pivot tables, V-look ups, macros, etc.
· Demonstrated experience modelling ethical behavior in challenging situations required
· Excellent written and oral communication skills
· Strong analytical capabilities with attention to detail and strategic thinking
· Proven experience working across multiple internal stakeholders
· Technology savvy, business orientation, and agile learning abilities required
· Capable of working in multiple systems and tools
Experience:
· Overall experience of 5 years handling Finance & Controlling related activities and partnering with global stakeholders
Soft skills:
· Demonstrated results building partnerships with multi-levels across businesses required
· Must have high attention to detail, quality and proven ability to operate effectively under pressure and strict deadlines
· Ability to lead through influence including demonstrated facilitator skills
· Strong organization skills: ability to track and manage a high volume of projects at a detailed level
· Ability to develop a rapport and credibility with key stakeholders
· Ability to work effectively across international work streams
· Demonstrated organization savvy and self-awareness
· Adaptable and able to work in complex matrix environment
· Change agent who can propose, lead, and drive changes
Education:
Postgraduate/ACCA/CMA is required
Languages:
Japanese and English speaking is mandatory
Preferred:
• MBA and/or CPA
• Pharmaceutical and public accounting experience
• TM1 and SAP experience
