About the job

The Advanced Analytics Lead is responsible for driving the advanced analytics agenda within the region by developing and implementing data-driven solutions that optimize business performance. The role involves the application of advanced statistical techniques, machine learning models, and data science tools to analyze and improve sales, marketing, and operational strategies. The purpose of the position is to provide actionable insights that empower decision-makers to make informed, strategic choices, enhance ROI, and drive continuous business improvement.

This role works closely with cross-functional teams, including all marketing, sales, analytics, e-commerce digital and data management teams, ensuring the seamless integration of advanced analytics across various business functions. Additionally, the Advanced Analytics Lead is instrumental in cascading global AI/ML initiatives to the regional and local levels, adapting and aligning global strategies to meet the specific needs and priorities of the region. By leading the development and execution of an advanced analytics pipeline, the role ensures that data-driven solutions are scalable, efficient, and impactful.

Main Responsibilities:

Strategic Analytics & Insight Generation:

  • Provide strategic market and consumer insights through Marketing Mix Modelling (MMM), Price and Promotion Analytics, Digital Analytics, and in-market test evaluations, leveraging methodologies developed by agencies and internal advanced analytics teams.

  • Optimize marketing and sales investments across key channels (media, trade, events, sales force, and e-commerce).

  • Automate analytics workflows, reducing manual interventions in modeling and reporting processes to streamline operations and improve efficiency.

Global AI/ML Initiatives:

  • Cascade global AI initiatives by adapting and implementing them regionally and locally, ensuring alignment with market-specific needs and priorities.

  • Act as a regional focal point for coordinating the deployment of AI/ML tools and augmented business intelligence solutions.

  • Support the integration of global AI innovations into existing analytics frameworks and deliverables.

Collaboration Across Teams:

  • Collaborate closely with Business Intelligence & Analytics, Brand & Innovation, and Data Management teams to ensure the analytics strategy is seamlessly integrated across functions.

  • Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure that the insights generated are actionable and impactful for decision-making.

  • Provide strategic guidance to brand teams and innovation leads through tailored analytical workshops and support.

Advanced Analytics Pipeline & Framework:

  • Define, deliver, and continuously improve the regional advanced analytics pipeline and framework, ensuring scalability and adaptability to new challenges.

  • Establish and maintain governance and processes for advanced analytics across the region.

  • Partner with the Data Architecture and Data Governance teams to align on analytics infrastructure and standards.

Technology & Trends Integration:

  • Lead the development of advanced data models and solutions using tools such as Python, Alteryx, and Power BI.

  • Stay informed on emerging analytics trends and AI technologies to ensure the organization remains a leader in data innovation.

  • Manage the lifecycle of AI/ML models, ensuring continuous optimization and relevance to the business.

Impact Measurement & Reporting:

  • Develop metrics to quantify the value delivered through advanced analytics initiatives and provide actionable insights for improvement.

  • Ensure the accuracy, quality, and relevance of analytics outputs through rigorous validation and performance tracking.

Qualifications & Skills

Experience

  • +5 years in data analytics, data science, or business intelligence roles, with a strong focus business partnering building advanced analytics applications and insights delivering analytics frameworks.

  • Proven ability to cascade global initiatives and tailor them for regional implementation.

Soft Skills

  • Collaboration: Ability to build strong relationships across diverse teams.

  • Leadership: Lead initiatives independently and influence stakeholders across all levels.

  • Strategic Thinking: Align analytics strategies with global priorities and regional business needs.

Technical Skills

  • Proficiency in advanced analytics tools such as Python, Alteryx or similar, R, and data visualization tools like Power BI.

  • Strong background in statistical modeling, machine learning, and data automation.

  • Familiarity with data governance, architecture, and pipeline management (as PMO).

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Industrial Engineering, Economics, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field.

  • Master's degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Artificial Intelligence, or a similar discipline is preferred.

Languages

  • Fluency in English; additional languages are a plus.
