Digital Insights & Analytics supports the Sanofi Specialty Care business unit with Patient and Market specific key performance indicators across different therapeutic areas: Immunology, Rare Diseases, Rare Blood Disorders, Oncology, Neurology. In this role you would join our talented team in Budapest, while helping establish the new data technical deliver centre in Budapest. It is a unique opportunity to join a new team within an established organization.

About the Digital Products in scope

Patient Collect is a tool developed in house to capture monthly patient counts for different patient categories, diseases, products across 50+ countries​. The data collected is leveraged across the organization for forecasting and analytics.

Global Insights is the reporting/advanced analytics platform for Global Specialty Care (SPC) business operations, forecasting, analytics and marketing​. It consolidates Specialty Care (SPC) commercial sources from different data foundations (Patient Collect, Luci, Market, Finance)​ and Vendor provided data sources.

Main responsibilities:

• Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and understand business objectives for data visualization projects
• Lead creation of the visualization strategy and execute to improve products, infrastructure and processes
• Work closely with data engineers and analysts to access, transform, and prepare data from Snowflake data warehouse for visualization purposes
• Design end-to-end Visual Analytics solutions to meet business needs in an operationally and financially efficient manner
• Ensure understandability, useability, and user-friendliness of visual analytics solutions by proa-actively implementing design best practices and challenging user-requirements.
• Work in close collaboration with the Commercial Excellence and Analytics teams, Product Managers, Data Analysts, Data Engineers, System Administrators to ensure that solution exhibits high levels of performance, security, scalability, maintainability, appropriate reusability, and reliability upon deployment
• Develop reports/dashboards displaying strategic, operational and performance, and tactical level views of various metrics
• Manage external 3rd Party vendors and provide oversight on dashboarding projects
• Remain up to date on company standards, industry practices and emerging standards
• Develop business analytics strategies, roadmaps, and BI solutions
• Support global, Enterprise-class systems, regarding ITIL/ITSM processes/practices
• Identify areas in need of improvement and drive to put a solution in place which addresses those needs
• Manage and prioritize multiple initiatives, incidents and service requests while adapting to changing business conditions
• Document standard operating procedures for repeatable tasks and contribute to automation efforts
• Prepare and maintain training material and SOPs, knowledge base articles and technical documentation

About you

Key Requirements & Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering or similar field 
• Proven experience working as a Visualization Engineer, Business Intelligence Developer, or similar role
• Proficiency in data visualization tools, particularly PowerBI, with a strong portfolio showcasing development of interactive dashboards, reports and visualizations  
• Power BI Architecture and Development 
• Solid understanding of data warehousing concepts, including Snowflake or similar cloud-based data warehouses
• Strong knowledge of data modelling, SQL, and data manipulation techniques
• Experience with data preparation and transformation for visualization purposes, including data cleansing, aggregation, and enrichment
• Ability to translate complex business requirements into intuitive and visually appealing data visualizations
• Knowledge of KPIs, hierarchies, and the understanding of data relationships
• Expertise in advanced-level calculation (ex: DAX) on data sets
• Excellent communication skills in English, both verbal and in writing

Preferred Experience: 

• Pharmaceutical and/or Patient Insights & Analytics experience
• Certification in PowerBI or related data visualization tools
• Experience with other data visualization tools such as Tableau, Dataiku, QlikView, QlikSense and TM1
• Familiarity with scripting languages such as Python or R for data analysis and manipulation
• Migration experience from one BI platform to another (for ex: Qlik to Power BI) 
• Ability to connect to data sources (internal and external), import data, and transform data 
• Experience in Agile development processes and DevOps methodology / principals 
• Knowledge of SQL (Snowflake), cloud computing (AWS / Azure)
• Knowledge of data governance and security best practices
• Experience working with large-scale datasets and distributed computing environments
• UX design
