Join Sanofi as Head of Security for Central and South Europe.  You’ll be responsible for the effective management of all security risks of the multi country organization (MCO) (personnel, facilities, assets, and information). You will be the first point of contact for the MCO management teams in security related questions and will operationally manage or supervise the management of all security issues the affiliates are facing.

Your responsibility in the role will be also implementation of global security policies and the development of local procedures. To be effective in role of Security Head Central & South Europe must be well connected on all levels of the country organizations, as well as with the regional and global Sanofi security organization.

Main responsibilities:

• Winning senior management support and establishment of a security culture in the MCO by constantly advertising for security best practices.  
• Constant monitoring and reporting of the local security situation and identification of potential security risks for the affiliate (its employees, assets, operations, information).
• Based on the risk assessment, taking action to mitigate security risks for Sanofi.
• Reporting incidents, outlining security response measures, and effectively managing cases.
• Leading one full-time Country Security Manager in another country organization. Building up, training, and maintaining a network of security correspondents within the company, who support the security function in the company country organizations and sites.
• Maintaining an active network with other functions within the company and with relevant authorities and associations.
• Developing and giving security trainings for different target groups on all levels of the MCO.
• Serving as the primary point of contact for law enforcement in case of security incidents.
• The position requires a high flexibility and willingness to travel on a regular basis.

Implementation and maintaining different programs owned by the Global Security Team:

Site Security

• Implementation of a cutting edge physical security program to ensure the protection of all Sanofi sites in the MCO. Assisting the site security partners in the design of security systems and in the coordination of all practical and technical aspects. Coordinate the security arrangements with HSE, Workplace Experience and the landlord.
• Support the global audit program by conducting threat assessments, self-assessments and support in the preparation and conduct of on-site audits.

Information Protection & Insider Risk Management

• Roll-out and maintain the Insider Risk program in the MCO.
• Coordinate the local Insider Risk Team and operationally manage Insider Risk cases.
• Conduct Security awareness campaigns on information classification & protection, online risks, and the Insider Risk Program in general.

Product Security:

• Ensure product security at industrial sites, distribution centers and during transportation. Promote the use of adapted product protection solution to check authenticity of product.
• Act as the point of contact for all product related crime incidents (counterfeiting theft, diversion). Follow up and investigate in suspicion cases and liaise with law enforcement in suspicion cases.

People & Event Security:

• Defining security and assistance measures to ensure the safety of all categories of employees.
• Serving as the primary point of contact for business travelers with security concerns, both international and domestic.
• Providing support, for organizing business trips for Highly Exposed Persons within the country.
• Assisting event owners by conducting risk assessments and overseeing the implementation of appropriate security measures for sensitive events.

Crisis Management & Business Continuity:

• Define and test Emergency Response Plans.
• Supporting the implementation of the Crisis Program, collaborating closely with the Country Crisis Coordinator. Assisting in the development of the country Business Continuity Plan (BCP).
• Collaborating with Site Security Correspondents across all Sanofi sites to reinforce the Crisis and Business Continuity (BC) programs.
• Offering expertise, guidance, and management during security crises to ensure effective resolution.

About you

• Education: Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, Security or Disaster, Crisis Management, or related field (Master's degree preferred).
• Experience: 10+ years in security management or a similar role, preferably in a corporate environment.
• Core knowledge, competencies & skills:
• Experience in managing staff and projects in culturally diverse geographic regions, with specific challenges.
• Strong knowledge of security principles, practices, and technologies.
• Proven experience in risk prevention and crisis management.
• Proficiency in product protection best practices.
• Familiarity with site protection best practices.
• Up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws and regulations pertaining to security.
• Demonstrated traits of rigor, discretion, relational capacity, and proactive approach.
• Ability to identify risks and effectively report them.
• Strong conviction and team spirit to promote a security culture among colleagues.
• Capability to collaborate within a global professional network effectively.
