Your job, as Global Supply Chain Therapeutic Area (TA) Head is to be accountable to lead and deliver therapeutic area supply chain strategy (sites & lines footprint, portfolio complexity, inventory policy.)
Lead and oversee End-to-End (E2E) supply chain of products of his/her specific TA. Contribute to development of long-term strategic plans for specific TA in collaboration with GBU (Franchise & IPL).

Main Responsibilities:
Establishing Therapeutic Area SC strategy for a group of products/assets
Ensuring the TA supply chain team has a clear set of strategic principles based on Product and Brand and its lifecycle, which is aligned with global supply chain ambition (e.g., network de-risking, sourcing strategies,)
Designing and implementing supply chain strategies, including both product strategies as well as collaboration on network strategies (sites & lines footprint, portfolio complexity, inventory policy..)
Hold accountability of inventory levels of his/her Therapeutic Area and endorse relevant stock policies depending on product flows and process risk management in close alignment with his/her product leader.
Responsible for E2E value stream on 0-3/4 years horizon for his / her products of TA incl. Product-Lifecycle Management (new launches, regulatory changes, transfers, post approval submission)
Acting as senior leader to drive execution of key product strategies across sites and functions in collaboration with Global Supply Planning
Supporting commercial growth for new and established products
Act as a primarily contact of Supply Chain to the Head of Global Franchise
Supporting commercial operations with a focus on new launches and launch excellence as well as established products with the objective to ensure one plan for all (Commercial operations, M&S/EM&S, Global Supply Planning)
Represents GBU supply chain in management committees, working in close partnership with the commercial franchise head and Industrial Franchise leader
Drive and oversee E2E Therapeutic Area SC performance (dashboard, trends, KPI’s) and continuous improvement initiatives
Set product supply policies across the network within global guidance
Work collaboratively within the value stream, with Global Franchise teams, M&S EM&S, GSP, Sourcing committees as well as other Global organizations when/where appropriate (SPC, GEM, Vaccine)
Responsible for the SC partnership with the alliance partner to oversee supply chain deliverables and support for SC communications and decision making as part of the joint governance processes
Build/maintain a first in class team by leveraging people competencies, reinforcing capabilities, developing people.
Identifying the required resources and expertise, implementing the appropriate team/departmental structures, and establishing the required processes and communications to enable department(s) to effectively deliver on all commitments while building a culture of Safety and Quality and continuous improvement.
Creation of pool of expertise within Therapeutic Area with Product Leaders and Product Planners harmonized ways of working
About You
Skills/Expertise/Experience:
Experience in developing strategies and budgeting long-range planning
Solid knowledge of IBP process
Experience with performance and capability in enabling and driving change
Advanced knowledge of Demand Forecast and Supply Management
Experience modelling scenarios with multiple variables incorporating identification of key drivers, risks, financials, and sensitivity analysis.
Understanding of business requirements of GBU, especially in key markets
Understanding of manufacturing processes and operations
Experience of managing Financials and budgeting
Degree in Engineering, Business Administration or Supply Chain
Successful Leadership experience in complex matrix environments across multiple teams and geographies
Growing mindset
Experience in coaching, motivating, and developing people.
Fluent in English
Basic Qualifications
Minimum Four-Year Degree.
Minimum 10 years relevant experience in the Pharmaceutical Industry in Supply Chain / Commercial Operations / Demand Management / Finance.
Minimum 7 years of experience with an international organization.
Minimum 10 years of proven and demonstrated ability to influence on a transversal basis across multiple stakeholders.
Minimum 7 years of demonstrated leadership and critical thinking mindset for many complex business challenges that the Integrated Business Planning will require.
Minimum of 15 years of progressive management experience.
Preferred Qualifications
MBA or demonstrated business acumen
Ability to set ambitious and realistic targets, drive execution and build culture of continuous improvement and accountability.
Excellent people leadership and change leadership skills
Ability to provide effective leadership in the: development and implementation of objectives and business strategies; selection of key personnel and motivation of members of the functional area; the ability to challenge employees to develop as leaders while serving as a role model and mentor; participation in performance calibration/talent pool management/succession planning; establishment of individual goal setting/performance reviews and training and development; support of workforce diversity, quality and safety and supporting supervisors/managers in the management of their employees/department which support achievement of individual department/business objectives.
Identifying performance improvement targets and metrics. Ensuring capabilities and capacity in place to effectively deliver on all departmental commitments and performance targets.
Strengthening overall leadership and organizational capabilities in area of responsibility. Building and sustaining high performance management team and ensuring strong alignment and coordination with other functional groups at the site.
Strong communication and influencing skills
Experience in continuous improvement methodology application
Ability to operate in a matrix environment simultaneously working across numerous business franchises and functions
Project management experience
Effective business partner skills
Travel
Ability to travel internationally up to 20%.
