Job Title: Project Finance Business Partner, Development

About the Job

The Project Finance Business Partner, Development actively contributes to the strategy and execution of clinical projects in his/her perimeter by providing finance support to the Global Project Teams. You will have a strong focus on financial planning and analysis, be a trusted financial partner with strong analytical skills, be highly adaptable and focused on achieving results. The scope of work will encompass budgeting and forecasting, month-end closing analysis and ad-hoc requests in a fast-paced environment. You will support the therapeutic area in portfolio decision making.

Main Responsibilities

  • Partner with Global Project Heads and Teams to provide financial insights and decision support for clinical development projects.

  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting activities, ensuring accuracy and transparency.

  • Analyze project variances, identify risks and opportunities, and recommend actions to optimize financial outcomes.

  • Support strategic investment decisions by preparing project valuations and financial recommendations for governance bodies.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, CMC, TMU, and other finance teams to align on cost drivers and assumptions.

  • Ensure compliance with internal financial policies and contribute to continuous process improvement.

About You

  • Experience in finance or accounting, ideally with exposure to R&D or clinical development environments.

  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking skills with the ability to influence and partner across functions.

  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced, matrixed organization with evolving priorities.

  • Proficient in financial planning, forecasting, and variance analysis.

  • Bachelors degree required, Master’s degree, MBA, or CPA preferred
