Job title: Senior Product Manager, Consumer Marketing, Rare Hematology

Location: Cambridge, MA

About the job

Join the team transforming care for people with immune challenges, rare diseases, cancers, and neurological conditions. In Specialty Care, you’ll help deliver breakthrough treatments that bring hope to patients with some of the highest unmet needs.

As Senior Product Manager, within the Rare Hematology team, you’ll support key elements of the U.S. consumer marketing strategy and execution for WAYRILZ, the first BTK inhibitor for Immune Thrombocytopenia (ITP), FDA approved in August 2025. This role will serve as a key bridge between strategic planning and tactical execution – with a focus on omnichannel campaign delivery, digital marketing optimization and patient engagement initiatives.

This is an opportunity for an emerging marketer to deepen cross-functional collaboration, develop digital fluency, and make meaningful contributions to a high-impact, priority launch asset for the U.S. Rare Blood Disorders Franchise and Sanofi Specialty Care. This role reports to the Director of Consumer Marketing, Rare Hematology and will be based in Cambridge, MA.

Our deep understanding of the immune system – and innovative pipeline – enables us to invent medicines and vaccines that treat and protect millions of people around the world. Together, we chase the miracles of science to improve people’s lives.

Main Responsibilities:

Strategic Contribution & Campaign Execution

  • Contribute to the U.S. commercial strategy for WAYRILZ by supporting patient marketing efforts as part of the consumer marketing team, working alongside the Director and Associate Director, and in partnership with the broader Rare Hematology marketing team

  • Lead day-to-day execution of omnichannel patient campaigns across digital and traditional channels, including website content, email marketing, social media, and print materials - from content creation through legal/regulatory approval, field training, and launch

  • Monitor campaign performance, market research insights, and patient feedback to identify optimization opportunities and inform future consumer marketing strategies

Patient Ambassador Program & Engagement

  • Serve as the primary owner of the ITP patient ambassador program, managing end-to-end logistics in partnership with our patient ambassador logistics agency, including ambassador recruitment, training, scheduling, event coordination, and ongoing engagement

  • Partner closely with legal, regulatory and compliance teams to ensure all ambassador activities adhere to FDA guidelines, PhRMA Code, and company policies

  • Develop compelling patient storytelling content (testimonials, videos, social media, case studies) that educates, empowers, and builds trust with the ITP community while maintaining full regulatory compliance

Cross-Functional Partnership & Agency Management

  • Build strong collaborative relationships across patient support services, advocacy, digital, GTMC, market research and field teams to ensure alignment with WAYRILZ patient strategy and uncover actionable insights

  • Work closely with agency partners to manage project timelines, deliverables, budgets, and quality standards—ensuring work stays on strategy, on time, and within budget

  • Coordinate cross-functional review processes (MLR) and manage day-to-day operational logistics for print fulfillment, patient events, and field enablement materials

About You

Required Qualifications:

  • 4–6 years of progressive experience in pharmaceutical marketing, digital strategy, consumer healthcare, or agency account management

  • Strong understanding of omnichannel marketing and digital patient engagement tactics (web, CRM/email, social media, paid media, etc.)

  • Experience working in regulated industries with demonstrated knowledge of legal/regulatory review processes and promotional compliance requirements

  • Proven ability to manage multiple complex projects simultaneously with strong attention to detail, prioritization skills, and accountability for results

  • Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to influence and build relationships across diverse stakeholder groups

  • Self-starter who can work independently to develop clear action plans, manage timelines, set objectives, and oversee budgets

  • Willingness to travel approximately 15–20%

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience managing patient or brand ambassador programs, including logistics, compliance oversight, and content development

  • Background in rare disease, specialty care, or launch marketing

  • Familiarity with pharmaceutical digital platforms (e.g., Veeva Vault PromoMats, iCare, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or similar)

  • Event planning and coordination experience

  • Demonstrated patient-centric mindset and comfort working directly with patient communities in a compliant, empathetic manner

  • Growth mindset with eagerness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced, high-visibility launch environment
