Reporting to the Global Head of Science and R&D Communications, the Manager of Science and R&D Communications is a team player responsible for supporting the delivery of science and R&D communications activations to elevate the reputation of Sanofi in scientific excellence.

Main responsibilities:

• With support from team members, develop and deliver effective thought leadership and scientific storytelling to elevate the reputation of Sanofi in scientific excellence

• Work directly with key stakeholders across the organization to deliver simple and compelling communications for R&D

• Provide internal communications support to R&D organization with a focus on transformation

• Work with team and agency to review and finalize materials for internal and external use

About you

• A bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism or a related scientific field is required

• A minimum of 3-6 years of corporate communications experience in the healthcare space. Pharmaceutical and/or Biotechnology area experience is preferred (product, pipeline or R&D communications)

• Expertise in content development and communications/campaign project management

• Agency experience preferred

• Ability to travel 10% overall

• Passionate about the pharmaceutical industry and the value we deliver to patients

• Excellent English language verbal and written communications skills

• Growing understanding of communications concepts, practices, strategies and tactics based on understanding of key audiences and corporate objectives

• Good working knowledge of the digital and social media landscape in engaging audiences, with the ability to deliver innovative approaches and plans within this growing and important space

• Works well under pressure, including tight timelines

• Can juggle multiple projects simultaneously

• Proactive and able to work independently and interdependently in a team environment

• Good networking and relationship-building skills and the ability to interact with confidence with various levels and functions

• Good project management skills

• Strong issues management capabilities
