eCommerce Solution Delivery Lead

Our Team:

The eCommerce Development Lead is part of the Sanofi Digital eCommerce Product team which is responsible for end-to-end ownership of our Global B2B eCommerce product line, serving global business needs for commercial and trade organizations across Sanofi.  

The eCommerce Development Lead is an integral part of our global eCommerce Delivery team, powering solutions to deliver maximum business value, with high traffic, great web performance, stability, compliance, scalability and cost optimization. She/He contributes to the success of Sanofi’s strategic eCommerce solutions and Sanofi’s eCommerce presence. She/He is a technical engineer but also orchestrator of multiple technical teams from various digital organizations, both Sanofi internal and our external partners. 

The eCommerce Development Lead will collaborate with teammates to implement new features and improve the Global B2B eCommerce product. Troubleshoot issues affecting users worldwide and participate in defining new product requirements and designs together with the product team.

Main responsibilities:

As an excellent Development Lead, She/He will: 

• Manage the eCommerce Development team

• Provide technical and leadership guidance to the eCommerce development team, fostering a collaborative and productive environment

• Drive productivity enhancements using cutting-edge technologies

• Develop high-performance, scalable solutions with micro-services architecture and ensure observability.

• Demonstrate expertise in modern internet architectures and frameworks.

• Lead continuous improvement initiatives

• Exhibit a strong passion for learning and agility in adopting new practices.

• Apply agile methodologies effectively, promoting iterative development and feedback loops.

• Collaborate with teammates to implement new features and help improve our products

• Build and deploy eCommerce solution to new markets and new eCommerce capabilities to new and existing markets

• Collaborate with development team to build key features, capabilities, and integrations with external solutions

• Participate in defining new product requirements and design with Developers, Product Owner and Solution Architect in a Cloud environment.

• Collaborate with wider Sanofi groups in architecting, planning, and executing the build of eCommerce components and integrations with 3rd party solutions

• Identify and help troubleshoot issues affecting users in one of our many regions in the world 

• Ensure code management and security

• Global core codebase management and governance

About you 

She/He will have knowledge and experience in: 

• Proven track record in leading software engineering teams, guiding projects from inception to successful implementation.

• SAP e-commerce or SAP Hybris or SAP Commerce Cloud, and integration with other systems. 

• Software development principles and lifecycle, web development technologies / frameworks. 

• Helpful but is not mandatory; JAVA Spring framework, JavaScript/TypeScript, Angular and Spartacus Frameworks. 

• Experience with major integration point between Web based user interface and back-end processes such as Order Management, Warehouse Management, Financial, Retail Systems, ERP, payment services or CRM. 

• Integration technologies (SAP CPI, Tibco, Informatica Cloud, etc). 

• Systems architecture and applied understanding of software development principles and lifecycle, web development technologies / frameworks, APIs, and common web technologies essential to building seamless multi-channel experiences. 

• Experience with SAP ECC, S/4 HANA a plus.
