The Expert Content Writer in Learning Design & Development is an important role and is responsible for designing and creating scientifically rigorous and engaging learning content for diverse audiences across the company, including internal teams (e.g., sales, marketing), healthcare professionals, and other key stakeholders. This role requires the ability to interpret complex scientific data, understand various therapeutic areas, and apply learning design principles to develop impactful training programs. Additionally, the role involves close collaboration with peers and teams to establish best practices and work effectively with stakeholders to meet their needs.
People: Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders (e.g., internal teams, business units, requestors, etc.) to design and develop training content tailored to their specific needs; (2) collaborate closely with subject matter experts to ensure the scientific accuracy and relevance of all content; (3) share knowledge/expertise with team members who are new to or less familiar with scientific content creation.
Performance: Create complex, high-quality learning materials (e.g., eLearning, workshops, assessments) within agreed timelines, ensuring alignment with scientific and business goals; continuously assess training effectiveness based on feedback and learning outcomes to refine and improve materials.
Process: Design and develop content ensuring clear communication and alignment of content goals; utilize instructional design methodologies and advanced training delivery tools to enhance learning effectiveness and user engagement; manage the end-to-end content development process, from concept to delivery, ensuring alignment with stakeholder needs and compliance standards; analyze feedback and performance to optimize training content and delivery methods; collaborate with selected vendor partners to deliver the required deliverables as per defined process.
Stakeholder: Work closely with cross-functional teams to identify content requirements and develop tailored learning solutions; partner with different departments to ensure training materials align with the specific needs of the therapeutic area and effectively achieve activity objectives.
About you
Experience: 6-9 years of experience in content creation for the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry, or academia
Soft skills: Stakeholder management; communication skills; and ability to work independently as well as within a team environment.
Technical skills: As applicable (including but not limited to
- In-depth understanding of scientific content and therapeutic areas.
- Ability to communicate complex scientific concepts in a clear and engaging manner for diverse audiences.
- Knowledge of instructional design principles and adult learning theory and familiarity with learning management systems, authoring tools, and digital learning technologies would be added advantage.
Education: Advanced degree in life sciences/pharmacy/similar discipline or medical degree
Languages: Excellent knowledge of English language (spoken and written)
