About the job

Vaccine R&D Data Catalyst team is driving the strategy and the roadmaps for Vaccine RD digital transformation, partnering with Digital R&D. The team also plays a key role in delivering and supporting digital solutions for laboratory.

The Lab Digital Support Manager is critical to maximize the sustainability and the value of Digital transformation for Labs Functions. You will lead a multicultural team in France, Canada & US. With your team, you will enable data value creation in labs through Adoption, Data Visualization and Data Stewardship defining new operating models… and secure delivery of our 8 Phase III readouts by 2028 supporting Clinical & QC Labs operations.

Main responsibilities:

• Maximize the value of our new lab digital tools through data visualization at a fingertip for decision making, and higher data quality (Findable, Accessible, Interoperable, Reusable)
• Manage and develop a multicultural team: 11 team members located in France Marcy l’Etoile (4), US:  Swiftwater (5) & Waltham (1), and Canada: Toronto (1), as well as 8 to 10 contractors. Inspire, develop and coach your team members.
• Drive the change of ways of working for your teammates to streamline the processes they contribute to, to delivering more value for the labs and to evolve the operating model with new digital products deployed across the organization
• Empower labs in their digital journey: lead key-users networks and scientific transformation leads in lab function to deliver value.
• Deliver efficiency with the transition to new ways of working, ensuring proper balance between internal and outsourcing activities to optimize resource utilization and costs (8-10 contractors, about 1mEUR)
• Secure Business Continuity for QC & Clinical Labs coordinating business admin of LIMS/ELN and delivery of parametrization according to KPIs.
• Coordinate Vaccine Business System ownership for a set of digital tools, including lifecycle & decommissioning support.
• Lead and participate in the validation process of lab systems evolutions where applicable. Support audits.
• Measure overall value of digital tools through relevant KPIs (Adoption / Usage / Compliance)
• Work as a spare partner to the Digital R&D, and Vaccine Labs Digital Product for the roadmaps and transition your team when fully deployed (Run mode).
• Co-Lead Data quality roadmap definition for the lab functions with data governance manager and product owners. Oversee Data Quality for Labs (metrics, KPIs)

About you

• Experience: strong record of accomplishments and experience in Laboratory digital project management (ELN/LIMS) and digital transformation
• Soft and technical skills: Demonstrated Leadership / Management experience; Digital Transformation acumen; Good knowledge of vaccine laboratory workflows ; Excellent written and oral communications skills ; Excellent interpersonal skills (team player). The job requires a tight management of budgets and resources in a constrained and challenging environment:  financially and socially.
• Technical skills: Good understanding of Scientific Data models & Data Governance best practices. Strong knowledge / Bi-lingual in Lab Digital Solutions and Vaccine RD / Biological Laboratory processes. Good knowledge of cross-industry data standards. Experience in 21 CFR Part 11 is a plus
• Education: MS Degree, MS or Bachelor in Life Sciences
• Languages: Fluent in English & French
