Prepare and Execute the Digital Strategy for the new Drug Substance site that we will build in China (Beijing).
The Digital M&S New China Facility Leader will be responsible for preparing and executing the digital strategy during the construction of the new Insulins site. This Digital Strategy will cover all the Digital landscape, from Infrastructure foundations to Digital applications/products utilization, from project delivery to operational mode.
This role will lead the implementation of multiple critical Digital systems including ERP, MES, and other manufacturing technologies to ensure operational excellence and regulatory compliance.
As the Digital world is evolving so quickly, you will be able to identify and propose any emerging technology (IoT sensors, data analytics, AI(*)-driven process optimization…) to enhance manufacturing efficiency and quality during the duration of the construction.

Role Objectives:
Achieve a paperless manufacturing environment through implementation of electronic batch records and digital documentation systems
Create a fully interconnected facility where production systems, quality control, and supply chain platforms seamlessly exchange data
Implement real-time dashboards for performance monitoring and decision-making across all operational areas
Organize all the necessary governance to drive and report the activities, addressing any challenge or issue met during the construction. This governance will report progress within the global program, but also within the Digital organization
Lead the planning, development, and implementation of all Digital systems necessary for running operations with maximum efficiency from the beginning
Liaise with key stakeholders, including management, project teams, suppliers, and partners to ensure Digital objectives are aligned with overall business goals
Ensure Digital standards (infra, cyber, validation) are implemented, in full compliance with every stakeholder (Digital but also Engineering, Quality...)
Main Responsibilities:
Establish and manage the Digital project schedule, including critical milestones and delivery deadlines, ensuring full alignment with the global Insulins program
Develop and maintain a detailed project plan that includes all necessary tasks, from hardware acquisition, through applications/products rollouts, until routine operational mode for every Digital element
Coordinate cross-functional teams to ensure all aspects of the Digital system are designed and implemented in accordance with regulatory standards and industry best practices (GxP, SOX, Cyber, …)
Work with close collaboration with Engineering stakeholders to ensure equipment systems (Scada, DCS...) are implemented strictly following digital guidelines
Manage the Digital project budget, including expense approval and cost tracking
Identify and mitigate project-related risks, implementing contingency plans for potential issues.
Provide thought leadership and technical expertise to solve complex challenges related to system integration.
Ensure clear and regular communication with all stakeholders on project progress and potential issues.
About you
Skilled in crafting and executing a multi-year digital strategy, you have honed robust technical abilities and soft skills throughout your past experiences.
· Experience:
o Significant experience in managing complex Digital projects, preferably in the industrial pharmaceutical sector
o Strong project management skillset and ability to lead teams (technical or functional) with proven experience in managing them in an international & remote context
· Soft and technical skills:
o Strong leadership and team management skills
o Excellent communication and negotiation skills with diverse stakeholder groups
o In-depth knowledge of Digital systems and emerging technologies
o Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
Ability to work in an international matrix environment
Education: Degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
Languages: Fluent in Chinese and English (German or French additionally would be a plus)
