Are you a dynamic leader with a passion for innovation and regulatorymedicalexcellence?Opella is looking for a Western Europe Science Hub Head to join our team in Reading, UK. This senior leadership role will lead and manage our Science Affairs team across the UK, Belgium, Austria, Switzerland, Spain, Portugal, and Greece.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strategic Leadership: Set the strategic direction and allocate resources to prioritized opportunitiesto contribute to the Performance of the zone.
- Team Development: Lead and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of growth andperformance.Build a fast acting, collaborative, outcome obsessed, risk taking & innovative Science culture
- Regulatory Compliance: Ensure compliance with health authority requirements and drive scientific recommendations, leading theEuropean strategic Coordination team.Evaluate and define a portfolio approach for Medical value creation across Zones
- Innovation Management: Promote scientific innovation and manage regulatory strategies for new and existing products.Actively shape the regional business strategy through input into the zone and possible external advocacy plan in collaborations with local trade associations

Key Requirements:
- Educational Background: Degree in Science or higher (Ph.D. preferred).
- Experience: Extensive experience in Science Affairs, including leadership roles and experience in multiple regions.
- Industry Knowledge: Deep understanding of consumer healthcare and pharmaceutical industry regulations.
- Communication Skills: Exceptional executive communication skills.
- Strategic Thinking: Ability to evaluate relevant areas of operation and develop plans consistent with long-term organizational interests.
- Team Leadership: Ability to build cohesive, high-performance teams.
