Job Title: Field Development Manager - Dupixent FRM - Remote

Location: Remote/Field Based

About the Job

The Field Development Manager (FDM) for the Field Reimbursement Manager (FRM) team – Dupixent, is a field-based leadership development position supporting the Dupixent Field Reimbursement Manager team, reporting to the Head, Field Reimbursement Managers - Dupixent. 

As part of this position, the candidate will be responsible for the following key areas:

National-level support and enhancement of the growth & development of the Dupixent Dermatology & Respiratory FRM team by performing analysis to determine key performance trend and opportunities, leading special projects and providing ongoing support relating to patient support, access, reimbursement processes, financial assistance, and other business-related issues within the Dupixent Business Unit (50%). Assistance and coverage for FRM Directors and FRMs during vacancy, and other regional level ad-hoc project as assigned (30%). FRM meeting, interviewing and training support (10%). Ongoing professional development in the areas of People & Leadership Development (10%). Percentage time requirements are an approximation and may shift based on National/Regional needs at any given time.

Prioritization of duties will be provided by Head, Field Reimbursement Manager and Head, Patient Support Services.

Main Responsibilities:

In this field-based position, the FDM FRM will be responsible for the following key areas.

National-level Support and Projects to enhance the growth & development of the FRM team (50%):  

  • Provide national level analytics and support, identify key performance trends, growth and opportunities as it relates to reimbursement, patient support, access, financial assistance and national KPI/MBO adherence

  • Review and analyze the development of new reimbursement programs and tools that strengthens the reimbursement support services and aligns with the brand initiatives within the Dupixent Business Unit

  • Develop and manage marketing and educational materials as it pertains to field reimbursement

  • Cross-functional work streams with Patient Support Services, Dupixent MyWay (LASH), Value & Access, Field Reporting Analytics and Data Management teams to develop, communicate and implement operating processes, guidelines, and procedures for the FRM team

  • Communicate and collaborate effectively and transversally with Field Reimbursement Directors, Brand Marketing, Senior Business Directors and Senior Management in order to facilitate achievement of objectives related to field reimbursement team

  • Collaborate with Value & Access team to communicate the most relevant Local and National Payer landscape and UM Criteria updates to cascade out to FRM team

  • Communicate and cooperate transversally with Sales team and Alliance partners

  • Project Management such as but not limited to expansion of Destination Dupixent programs to virtual platform capability, review presentation content, speakers, and update each indication with most recent approvals

  • Participate on ad boards, councils and various business units throughout the organization to gain insight for best growth opportunities for FRM team

  • Take ownership of special projects assigned by FRM leadership team, or self-identified based on the needs of the FRM team. Works with appropriate home office and/or field-based personnel to meet project needs

FRM & FRM Director Coverage and Regional Level Support (30%):

  • Temporary coverage for FRM or FRM Director roles that are vacant or on extended leave

  • Assist in regional level ad-hoc projects as assigned

  • Work with FRM Directors to maximize performance that drive national metrics

  • Monitor FRM performance via live field visits and virtual interactions to provide coaching and professional development opportunities as appropriate for FRM team members, and bring field related issues to resolve and improve FRM team performance

FRM Meeting, Interviewing and Training Support (10%):

  • Supports planning and successful execution of all meetings (i.e. POAs, Leadership, National and Regional) in conjunction with leadership teams

  • Attend local, regional and national reimbursement related meetings as needed 

  • Assists with candidate screening and interview process to fill additions/vacancies within the FRM team

  • Work in conjunction with core training team for FRM onboarding and training coordination for new hires, including advanced training courses

  • Support the educational needs of the FRM team including the development, approval, and implementation of FRM Field-based training and leadership development

  • Ensure FRM team has a strong understanding and demonstrated knowledge of key compliance requirements, patient support services, billing and coding, payer UM and policy trends, Dermatology and Respiratory environment updates, specialty pharmacy knowledge, and appropriate level training related to the products supported 

Ongoing Personal Development and Leadership Development (10%)

  • Participates in identified professional development courses; schedules debrief with supervisor upon conclusion of each course to capture learning for FRM team

  • Meets regularly (live or virtual) with FRM leadership to better understand roles and responsibilities

  • Head of FRM will assign an executive mentor for FDM as part of ongoing development opportunity

  • Participates in field visits with FRMs to observe customer interactions, provides developmental coaching and incorporates best practices into professional development and training for the team. 

About You

Basic Qualifications:

  • BA/BS Degree required 

  • 7+ years’ experience in the pharmaceutical/healthcare industry, with 2+ years in specialty sales

  • Valid driver's license 

Preferred Qualifications: 

  • Dermatology or Respiratory experience strongly preferred

  • 2+ years’ experience with Sanofi Genzyme Immunology (Dupixent) business unit preferred

  • Field Reimbursement knowledge strongly preferred 

  • Proven track record of success and identified as a high-level performer who can take on additional levels of responsibility

  • Excellent strategic thinking, analytical, communication and leadership skills required 

  • Significant experience and understanding of the ever-changing Payer environment and its impact on access 

  • Demonstrated success working in a matrix environment (sales, market access, customer service, medical affairs, marketing) and co-promote 

  • Demonstrated success leading and managing projects

  • Demonstrated initiative, teamwork and accountability

  • Must achieve and maintain compliance with all applicable regulatory, legal, and operational rules and procedures, and require the same of his/her team 

  • Outstanding interpersonal skills, strong working relationships and resolving conflict

  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to adapt to change in a fast-paced environment

Travel Requirements:

  • 40-50% travel

  • Ability to travel to meetings/trainings/programs as necessary
