As Senior Financial Analyst within our Controlling Operations North America Team, you’ll provide controlling support for day-to-day operations while proactively identifying process improvement opportunities, supporting centralization initiatives, and contributing to the ongoing development of our controlling model.
Main responsibilities:
- Support month-end and quarter-end closing activities, including accrual calculations, journal entry preparation, and posting in SAP.
- Maintain and ensure the accuracy of master data in financial systems (SAP and TM1).
- Manage Personnel Costs controlling, including bonus and incentive accruals and true-up processes.
- Prepare balance sheet analyses, accruals, prepaids, reserves, and monthly account reconciliations, providing clear explanations for balance fluctuations.
- Support the financial reporting process by delivering timely and accurate analyses to Controllers, including variance analysis, trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Partner with Finance Business Partners and Controllers to analyze spending activities, track commitments, and explain variances between actual and forecast results.
- Ensure compliance with SOX requirements and internal control procedures, completing all required monthly control activities.
- Build and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders across the organization.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of controlling operations, supporting service delivery excellence and value creation.
- Identify and prioritize opportunities for process centralization, automation, standardization, and simplification.
- Lead or support process transitions and recommend more efficient operating models.
- Support global finance transformation initiatives aligned with the Global Core Model (TM1, ERP, Rolling Forecast, and Business Operations Optimization Model).
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement and operational excellence initiatives.
About you
- Experience: 5+ years of experience in finance controlling, with a proven track record in financial operations and process improvement.
- Soft skills: Growth mindset, adaptability, strong stakeholder management, influencing skills, attention to detail, analytical thinking, and a collaborative approach to driving change and continuous improvement.
- Technical skills: Advanced Excel skills, SAP knowledge and proven experience working across multiple internal stakeholders. TM1 knowledge is highly desirable.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance is required.
- Languages: Advanced English level.
