As a Senior Financial Analystin Controlling Operations M&S Costingteam, you will provide controlling support to assigned Business Units, in preparing budgets and forecasts (Budget / Quarterly Landings / Rolling Forecast), monthly closings. This is also a great opportunity for you to identify, propose and implement new ways of working as we transform Sanofi.
In this Job you will:
Be responsible for operational controlling activities for industrial perimeter
This role requires strong industrial/manufacturing costing expertise with the ability to understand and explain cost drivers across the end-to-end manufacturing value chain.
This includes standard cost build-up and roll-up (materials, labor, overheads), in-depth understanding of BOMs, routings, yield and substitutions, and analysis of manufacturing variances such as PPV, yield, labor efficiency, volume and absorption.
Solid knowledge of inventory valuation under standard costing, including WIP, provisions for excess and obsolete inventory, expiry and destructions, is essential.
Be able to translate operational changes (volume, mix, yield, procurement prices, capacity utilization) into financial impacts on COGS and inventory, and to partner with Supply Chain, Procurement and Production to drive cost transparency, performance improvement and informed decision-making.
Advanced capability to analyze SAP cost object flows (product cost estimates, production orders, variances, and settlements) and to validate the end‑to‑end integrity of cost postings between PP, CO, MM, and FI.
Strong expertise in standard cost change governance, variance reconciliation, and inventory revaluation mechanics, ensuring alignment between operational drivers, financial reporting, and internal control requirements.
Partner closely with Finance Business Partners across GBUs, and provide cohesive and seamless support to Business Leaders, track all assumptions in budget/forecasts
Ensure accurate and timely monthly closing and share monthly results
Prepare monthly commentary to explain variances between actual results and/or budget and forecasts
Ensure business owners execute the budgeted plan, track actuals
Ensure compliance with pertinent SOX & internal controls
identify risks and opportunities that affect the achievements
· Work effectively across multiple systems (SAP, Boost, Power BI, etc.)
Continuously challenge legacy ways of working, status quo; identify gaps, and recommend new ways of working

Technical skills:
· Advanced MS Excel skills, pivot tables, X-look ups, macros, etc.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Strong analytical capabilities with attention to detail and strategic thinking
· Proven experience working across multiple internal stakeholders
· Capable of working in multiple systems and tools
· Solid grasp of evolving Sanofi technology platforms, processes, and controls including SAGA
Experience and Education:
5+ years of diversified financial controlling experience with Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
Preferred:
Technology savvy, business orientation, and agile learning abilities required
Demonstrated experience modeling ethical behavior in challenging situations required
MBA and/or CPA
Pharmaceutical and public accounting experience
Commercial Finance and Gross to Net
TM1 and SAP experience
