About the Opportunity

Are you passionate about improving patient care through medical research and collaboration? Join our Medical Affairs team and gain hands-on experience supporting strategic projects that aim to improve the management of atopic dermatitis across Belgium.

Working alongside experienced Medical Advisors, you'll contribute to projects that bring together healthcare professionals, generate valuable insights, and help shape future care pathways for pediatric patients. This is an excellent opportunity to develop your research, project management, and stakeholder engagement skills within a global healthcare company.

What You'll Do

During your internship, you'll support several key Medical Affairs initiatives, including:

Advisory Board Coordination (20%)
Support the planning and execution of a multidisciplinary advisory board involving General Practitioners, Dermatologists, and Pediatricians.
Coordinate meeting logistics and materials.
Assist with healthcare professional engagement.
Capture meeting discussions and key insights.
Care Pathway Mapping (50%)
Research current pediatric atopic dermatitis care pathways across Belgium.
Identify unmet needs and knowledge gaps.
Collect, analyse, and synthesise information from multiple sources.
Help develop recommendations to optimise patient care.
Injection Pain Mapping (25%)
Support a nationwide project exploring best practices for managing injection pain in pediatric patients.
Conduct interviews and surveys with Belgian hospitals.
Document findings and identify opportunities to improve patient experience.
Medical Affairs Support (5%)
Participate in Medical Affairs team meetings.
Assist with scientific communications and project coordination.
Provide support on additional Medical Affairs initiatives as required.


What You'll Bring

We're looking for someone who is:

  • Currently studying for a Master's degree in Medicine, Pharmacy, Biomedical Sciences, Public Health, or a related discipline.

  • Interested in Medical Affairs, Dermatology, or Pediatrics.

  • Curious, proactive, and eager to learn.

  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail.

  • Comfortable managing multiple tasks and working collaboratively.

  • A confident communicator with strong written and verbal communication skills.

  • Fluent in Dutch with Business English proficiency.

  • Available for a minimum six-month internship starting in September 2026.

It would be an advantage if you have:

  • Previous healthcare, clinical research, or pharmaceutical experience.

  • Knowledge of atopic dermatitis or biologic therapies.

  • Experience conducting qualitative research, interviews, or surveys.

  • Fluency in French.
