About the Job

Are you a Workday Position Management expert with a passion for data governance and organizational data excellence? Join Sanofi's People Services Data Governance and Master Data Management Team as the Organization, Positions, Workplace and Access Compliance Data Lead — the dedicated data governance and MDM authority for Position and Workplace data in Workday, the security and compliance model governing that data, and the enablement of a robust position data model in Sanofi's Snowflake data foundation.

In this role, you will be the data governance and MDM centre of expertise for how positions and workplaces are defined, standardized, maintained, and leveraged across Sanofi globally — with a particular focus on enabling strategic workforce planning through accurate, reliable, and AI-ready position data. You will partner closely with Global Process Owners (GPOs) who serve as the business data owners, alongside Strategic Workforce Planning teams, HR Transformation, Finance, Technology Strategy, and Data Analytics teams — contributing the data perspective to ensure that position and workplace data is accurate, compliant, AI-ready, and fit for purpose — including through complex organizational events such as mergers, acquisitions, and divestitures.

We are an innovative global healthcare company with one purpose: to chase the miracles of science to improve people's lives. We're also a company where you can flourish and grow your career, with countless opportunities to explore, make connections with people, and stretch the limits of what you thought was possible. Ready to get started?

Main Responsibilities

1. Position, Organization & Workplace Master Data Governance

• Contribute the data governance and MDM perspective for Position, Organization and Workplace master data in Workday — including standards for position creation, maintenance, inactivation, and lifecycle management

• Partner with Global Process Owners (GPOs) — the business data owners in this model — to define and enforce global data standards, taxonomies, and canonical models for position and workplace data entities

• Establish and maintain the authoritative data model for positions and workplaces, ensuring consistency, completeness, and accuracy across all Workday tenants

• Govern all position data attributes — including position type, job profile alignment, FTE, location, cost center, supervisory organization, and management hierarchy — from a data standards and quality perspective

• Manage workplace master data governance including site definitions, location hierarchies, and workplace classifications. This includes collaboration with Digital Team on design and implementation of integration for the relevant master data

• Ensure all position and workplace data changes are governed through a structured, auditable, and compliant change management process

• Oversee data ownership processes and accountability frameworks, enabling Global Process Owners to fulfil their data responsibilities effectively

2. Strategic Workforce Planning Enablement

Lead the data governance contribution to strategic workforce planning by ensuring position and workplace data is accurate, complete, and structured to support workforce planning analytics, forecasting, and decision-making

Partner with Strategic Workforce Planning teams to understand planning requirements and analytical needs — translating these into data governance, data quality, and data model requirements

• Ensure position data integrity and consistency across all dimensions critical to workforce planning — including FTE, position type, organizational hierarchy, cost center, location, and job profile alignment

• Govern position lifecycle data to enable accurate headcount tracking, forecasting, and scenario modeling

• Ensure organizational hierarchy and supervisory organization data is maintained to the highest standards, as these are foundational to workforce planning analytics

• Drive data quality initiatives specifically focused on position data dimensions used in workforce planning models and analytics

• Enable position data traceability and auditability to support workforce planning governance and decision documentation

3. Workday Security Model & Compliance

Govern the data security model as it relates to position and workplace data in Workday — defining and maintaining standards for who can view, create, edit, and approve position and workplace records

• Define and maintain data access policies and security classifications for position and workplace data domains

• Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations (GDPR and others) in the context of position and workplace data, working closely with the Global Data Privacy Officer

• Manage and maintain data sharing agreements and protocols for position and workplace data shared across systems and geographies

• Conduct regular security and compliance reviews of position and workplace data access and usage

• Identify and escalate compliance risks related to position data exposure, unauthorized changes, or policy breaches

• Ensure local Workday configurations comply with global data security and governance standards

4. Snowflake Data Foundation Enablement

Lead the data governance contribution to the design and enablement of a strong position data model in Sanofi's Snowflake data foundation, ensuring position and workplace data is accurately represented, structured, and accessible for downstream consumption

• Define data sharing protocols and pipelines from Workday to Snowflake for position and workplace domains

• Ensure data quality, completeness, and structural integrity of position and workplace data flowing into the data foundation

• Partner with Technology Strategy, Data Engineering, and Data Analytics teams to ensure the position data model in Snowflake supports strategic workforce planning, business intelligence, organizational design analytics, and AI use cases

• Govern data lineage and traceability from Workday source to Snowflake consumption layers

5. Organizational Design & Strategic Initiatives Support

• Contribute the data governance perspective to organizational design initiatives by ensuring position structures, hierarchies, and attributes are correctly modeled, governed, and maintained in Workday

• Partner with Global Process Owners, Strategic Workforce Planning teams, P&C, and Finance to ensure position data enables headcount planning, budgeting, organizational design scenarios, and strategic decision-making

• Support the implementation and ongoing governance of Org View and Position Management capabilities in Workday, contributing data standards and MDM expertise

6. Mergers, Acquisitions & Divestitures

• Contribute position and workplace data governance expertise during M&A and divestiture events, ensuring seamless data integration, migration, and separation from a data standards and quality perspective

• Define data requirements, mapping, and migration strategies for onboarding new legal entities and offboarding divested businesses

• Ensure position and workplace data integrity throughout organizational restructuring, legal entity changes, and business unit transformations

• Partner with M&A, Legal, HR Transformation, Global Process Owners, Strategic Workforce Planning teams, and Technology Strategy as the position and workplace data governance SME for all transition activities

7. AI Enablement & Data Quality

• Drive data quality and AI readiness strategies for position and workplace data, ensuring data is structured and reliable for AI and advanced analytics consumption

• Lead root cause investigation of data quality issues in Workday position and workplace data — not just detection, but structural resolution

• Automate data validation and anomaly detection for position and workplace data where possible

• Lead AI strategy for knowledge content related to position and workplace data to enable AI initiatives via ServiceNow

• Monitor adoption of global data standards and detect re-introduction of local deviations

8. Team Leadership & Stakeholder Management

PositionData Quality & AI Readiness Analyst — responsible for data quality monitoring, root cause analysis, remediation, and AI readiness for position and workplace data
